I purchased and installed on my vehicle the most recent DVC license plate frame (seafoam top, blue bottom).

On California plates, the bottom part of the frame (where it says "Welcome Home") covers the bottom of the plate numbers. It's high enough that you can't see the bottom part of an L or 1. There's no room for adjustment.

I am now unsure how I feel about keeping it on. How is it for other state plates?

I don’t know how it would fit on Texas plates, but if it did obscure the number it would be illegal, and the car owner could be ticketed.

That's why I mentioned that I may take it off. They sell it at VGC so it's ridiculous it doesn't work for an in-state plate.

I bought the gold DVC plate last fall, finally got around to installing it on my Mass plates, covered way too much of my plate! What a waste of 25.00!!

My DS had one and had to take it off in Maryland because he was pulled over and told it was covering too much as well. We are skipping the license plate frames now.

I like to call the MA and CA plates siblings, since we have the same simple design. Red and blue/blue and red on a white base plate with a symbolic font. Even the month and registration stickers are in the same place 😃

I didn’t know that! Thanks! Never been to CA it’s on my list!

My daughter bought me I'd rather be at Disney World with Mickey and Minnie on it. Doesn't cover anything that should not be covered on my NY plates. FYI she bought it from Amazon.

We have a Disney plate frame that partially obscures the "E" in my license plate, so it looks like an "F" But unless I give the authorities a reason to pull me over, I don't think it's a problem. And it could come in handy buying me a few extra getaway minutes during a bank heist. :smooth:
