We will be using our DVC points for the first time this August. :cool1: We will be staying in the Treehouse Villas and plan on eating most of our meals there. We are renting a car to go shopping. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good grocery store? I have heard some of the closer stores are not that good and/or expensive. Also what would be the closest Costco and Target or Walmart? And one last store question, how far away are the Premier Outlets? Are they the outlets next to the old Dolly Parton Rodeo show? I have tons of questions, but I thought I would start with the stores and go from there. Thanks!

We like publix. There are outlets near that old dolly wood show, but can't remember what they are called---there is a Disney store there though. There is also a publix on that same road. I found a new set of outlets I prefer though--I think they are the prime outlets.

Yup, the Publix is a really good option and close. We have used it many times.

I have some of my frequent stops for Disney trips marked on my Google map here: http://g.co/maps/8h83t

I tend to favor the Publix on 535/Apopka-Vineland Road. It also has a liquor store attached and there's a SuperTarget with a Starbucks inside it around the corner on 192/Irlo Bronson.

This location is very convenient to Saratoga Springs Resort and anything in the Downtown Disney area. There's also a Wal-Mart on 535 between Disney and Publix but IME it's a pain to shop there.

If I'm staying at AKV, I tend toward the other Publix on the map (marked "closest to Animal Kingdom"). SuperTarget is also nice, but the selection is more limited, although if I need anything non-grocery, I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone there.

We used Publix as well on our last trip. Very close and convenient!

Publix is a great store. If you pick one quite near Disney (the one on 192 West at Orange Lake is great!) you'll have a great selection of premade items that aren't necessarily over processed.

There is another wonderful place to shop too, Whole Foods. It's at the corner of Sand Lake and Turkey Lake. A huge selection of organic foods and one of the most choice laden prepared food selections in the area.

Premium Outlets are near the old Dolly Parton place. Prime Outlets are at the "end" of I drive where the old Beltz outlets used to be (if that means anything to you).

Avoid the grocery shop in Crossroads. It's ridiculously overpriced and often has food past its prime. Ick.
