Hi everyone ,have just recived a reply from MS as to why myself and many of you out there are not reciving member updates, they have told me that if you have a spam filter on you computer you won't get any updates well I HAVE A FILTER FOR A REASON I don't wan't any spam there is no reason for there e-mail to be associated with spam. We get many updates frome other sources such as orbits disney and other sites that I have sighned up for.
Well sorry for the vent on all of you but there must be some way
to get the updates without the spam, and I won't take the filter off

My husband uses a spam filter and his come through just fine. Depends on the spam filter you are using. This is not Disney's problem, its your spam software - or if your spam software is provided by your ISP, your ISP's problem. Is yours configurable - you can often tell them that it is "not spam?" He uses Cloudmark Spamnet, btw.

The DVC return address for the member emails is DVC@disneyvacationclub.bfi0.com if you want to unblock it.

We do not have a spam filter on our computer. We get so much junk mail and pop-up stuff that it makes me believe our provider does not have a filter either. I've registered numerous times over the past 6-8 months and have never gotten any email from DVC. I get it from the Disney Store, All Ears, etc. (plus plenty of un-solicited, disgusting stuff) with no problem. I tend to believe there is some other problem (not the filter), but am glad to receive this information. I will check with my provider (and will be getting a filter soon).

Are you on AOL? If you are, you have a spam filter that 9 times out of 10 will filter the DVC emails (because they are sent to many people, so it looks like spam to AOL).

I've posted about this many times on the board.

According to AOL, they only group-block email as span when AOL subscribers start to complain. So, if you have AOL and you have not set up your own spam block or have identified the messages from DVC as spam, you should be ok.

However, I know that free email services from Yahoo, Hotmail, or Excite all work great for DVC email like Member Clubhouse, etc. If you adjust your email, don't forget to go back into the website and update your address. Good luck!

I, too, have no spam filter and have yet to receive a DVC e-mail despite several times registering my e-mail address with DVC. When I registered recently for the contest it indicated that they already have my e-mail address. I received no confirmation of my registering yet another time. :(

Just a suggestion to register for a free Hotmail account for your DVC email. I get mine sent to a Hotmail address with no problems and that mailbox never receives SPAM. (I probably just jinxed myself.):D

Thank you everyone I am going to call att tomorow to find out about the spam filter .the filter is at the providers server so we will see what they can do.

AOL is lying. My employer sends out mass emails and everyone on AOL doesn't get it. Maybe one or two percent of AOL'ers get it and that's that. I've spoken to AOL about this numerous times and they admitted to me that when emails are sent out and are over 100 or so, AOL's filters MAY catch it as spam even though it's not.

Have no fear though, we can get all of the body part enlargement emails we want and AOl's filters let them go through.

I've been dealing with AOL for 10 years now and have found you can get 20 different answers from 20 different people.
