DVC discount on cash stays or DC AP?

Hello....

We are planning a couple of extra nights on our next trip home(beyond our current points capability)....i made the ressies ages ago and was able to convert a couple of nights to AP discount, when it became available. The others are AAA rate....can anyone tell me if the DVC discount is similar, or should i call back tomorrow to see whats available? Do they convert existing ressies or is it a whole new thing?

I believe it is 25% -- a good discount but not as good as many AP codes. But I think we get that all of the time and not as released.

The 25% member discount is only available at DVC resorts and is subject to availability. They only offer it if they anticipate that the rooms will not be reserved for points, it comes from points inventory. They cannot convert an AP reservation since it comes from a different inventory.

When available, the DVC member discount is 25%. AP rates are often better than that. MS cannot make AP reservations and won't be able to convert any non-DVC cash reservation to a DVC reservation. They may be able to help link the reservations together so you won't have to move, but be prepared to move just in case.

One more thing.....are DVC discounts only available at OKW. BCV, BWV, VWL an VB, HH......so in other words not at the other resorts?

Yes, the 25% DVC Member discount is available only at DVC resorts.
