Has anyone tried to purchase AP renewals? Our passes are up in two weeks and the website doesn't prompt for renewals, just new passes.

Welcome to the DIS!

I don't know the answer to your question but here is a bump for you. I'm curious too as DS1 may need to renew his in the next few days.

I called last Thursday, as my AP expires on Jan. 29. I was told someone would call me Monday (yesterday). I got no call. She did say there was a 30 day grace period. In the meantime, I'm still waiting... :worried:

Found out this afternoon that DS1 can join us. I tried calling the AP# to renew which just kicks over to DRC now. The guy tried to find info but couldn't.

Tried MS...which I should have done first....and Evelyn helped me. Someone was going to call me but as we're running out of time, she was able to take all the info and it will be processed tomorrow.

A big shoutout to Evelyn...she's helped me before and is great. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

OK - AP renewals can be processed by MS. Great!! Now is there a discount for the renewal. Did the question ever get answered if there is a discount for a Florida Resident renewal or can only one discount be applied. Thanks

If MS is processing the renewals, it is only recently. I was told that neither MS nor the website were ready to do that yet. The only way was to do it onsite. Glad to hear that has changed because some folks wanting to renew might not be in WDW within the 30 day grace. On the other hand, the renewal discount is so much smaller now that it would probably make sense for many people to NOT use the renewal rate and instead get a later initial use date.

Did the question ever get answered if there is a discount for a Florida Resident renewal or can only one discount be applied.

There is no discount for Florida renewals. Disney says that "FL residents already get a great discount."

To clarify, in the case of my son's renewal MS is handling the paperwork or whatever, but he will pick up the AP at willcall.

And indeed, he would not have been back at WDW within the grace period.

My DH's AP expires on Feburary 1st. We received the renewal form in the mail yesterday. It had the DVC discount prices listed on the form.

Only one discount can be applied. After MUCH time on the phone, I finally found out that if you are a Florida resident, and renew your Florida residents seasonal pass, which is just about the best deal you can get for Disney tickets, you do not get any further discounts. The cost of this renewal is $192.77, tax included. There is not a better buy, so they do not give you any further discounts. We renewed ours last week at the Market place guest relations office. Normally, they would send our renewal forms in the mail a month and a half ahead of time, but with all the new changes in their ticket prices, they have been inundated with requests. {they claimed a glitch in the system}, but we also did not receive our DDE renewal in the mail either.

Had a call from Elizabeth (or Elisabeth?) at MS today with the confirmation # for DS1 renewal.

She said we will be fine with just the #, photo id, member card. No email or fax.

BTW, I think WDW systems are starting to interface better as she knew that his was the only AP about to expire.

Thanks again to Evelyn & Elizabeth!

Elizabeth called me today, too. My renewal voucher will be mailed to me.
