DVC Direct Price Increase Coming February 2026

I also can't imagine LSL has a friendlier points chart or better transportation options compared to CCV.
I have seen this giant resort from almost every angle ive stayed at this trip 🤣 (minus akv) and ive been over analyzing it a lot. It is farther than ccv and cfw which i dont like. I just cant buy a resort without eating there!

You guys realize you've made this decision, that I for sure thought I was being a patient genius that had it figured out, even more doubtful than before I came to the conclusion of waiting 🤣🤣

Oh yes! Not saying it was bad, but would you rather be "stuck" at Riviera or PVB IT if you planned in the 7-11 month window? You seemed to like PVB IT better.

I do think being flexible for one-bedrooms will give you plenty of options to stay at all of these resorts.
Yes pvb for the win so now its PVB vs CCV vs LSL when it was just PVB vs LSL before 🤣

The direct price isn't too bad and if you trade out you don't pay the TOT. I talked myself out of it once before. Let's see if I can do it again 🤣
What do u mean if you trade out you dont pay the tot, what kind of sorcery is this lol

I think ive made enough friends on the board to ride their very kind and gracious direct coattails for member events (Yes a very kind disboard blue got us into Hoop dee Holidays 🤣 I feel like a resale scrub) until I can decide.

At least I know it HAS to be either poly or lsl so I was taking solace in that and then we went to PIT today to see if they do any nice decorations for the holidays and my wife had the nerve to tell me you know, we ARE going to Aulani next year, what if we love it and buy direct there??? 🤯🤯
Aulani makes sense to buy resale. Buy Aulani sub resale and LSL direct, no more SSR.
Edit to add I say this without knowing if LSL will even be worth it. But what if it is…

But seriously though I would not make any choices til you visit Aulani.

If not, waiting for LSL vs. Poly probably makes sense. Personally, I've convinced myself (although I may well be wrong) that LSL is going to be pretty easy to book at the 7-month mark unless you're a resort studio sort of person. I think the resort will be massive, and 7-month availability is going to be somewhat similar to RIV - 1 BRs and dedicated 2 BRs will probably be easy to get. And, the cabins will probably be so many points that they are also easy to get at the 7-month mark.
I’m with you that it should be easier to book at 7 months but the question will be about the room size. Hopefully they are not building like VDH with a massive amount of studios with just a handful of 1 bedrooms.

I thought someone had analyzed the floor plans and came up with an estimate for the room counts but it might not have been for the new property.

That's a good thought. That said, if it becomes a resort where 1 BRs and/or 2 BRs are difficult to get even if you own there, not sure I'm too interested in that either. I feel like it would somewhat take the fun out of DVC ownership if you're constantly frustrated even with 7-11 month availability.

So aulani direct doesnt make sense, does it even have incentives?? Im def going to try to hold strong until at least after aulani which will be in May.

In my mind Poly will have a huge Welcome home weeks sale after for the summer OR ill be one of the first LSL buyers bragging that I got the cheapest price it was offered at 🤣🤣

I figure i already am going to miss the price increase so who cares if i wait right. How much worse can it get 🤣🤣

The article saying sales are slowing made me happy. I saw a cm at the dvc kiosk in epcot trying to sell to a lady and she was like "No way, im not going to waste your time, id love to but its too expensive!! Def goal of mine in the future" and was she was practically running.

I was about to inform her its actually going to be more expensive soon 🤣🤣

No it doesn't make sense at the moment.
Yes it has incentives but nothing like maybe 4 years ago where people were getting it for around $130 a point.

:rotfl2:It would have been priceless to see the reaction if you had :)

So is it around the same pricing as the other directs on sale right now? What would make it not worth it if its the same price? High dues and no chance of getting SUB? It was easy to book a one bedroom at 5 months and deluxe studio ocean view so I dont really need it for home resort priority

It has been matching the other actively selling WDW property prices.
It just happened to have huge incentives. They never lower prices (With exception of PVB and VGF when they want back on sale) but instead tweak incentive levels to get the price down.

I just wouldn't buy it direct when resale is in the low $100's or less.

It just depends on when you are going as if you need home resort priority. Point charts can have big shifts and they only have 4 seasons to spread the points around. Another good thing/bad thing is there is no premium for weekends. This is generally a good thing however a lot of locals will just book the weekend so it can make it more difficult for a full week trip.

Thats right, thank you, I forgot that resale aulani is super cheap and with SUB a no brainer to go resale on this one. I love these boards so much, I would have felt bad buying direct there when resale there could be my ticket to the big leagues (1000 pt club 🤣) 5 year goal of mine!

There is an extra incentive right you can get on only while staying there. Which is really great but still doesn’t make sense for direct since the price spread is still so wide and that you have the ability to get sub dues resale.
