A co-worker, who just returned from WDW yesterday, said that he & his family bought into the DVC at the Contemporary Resort. Is this right? Is it official that they are building a DVC at the Contemporary?

As far as I know there has been no announcement that Disney will be selling BLT anytime soon. Speculation is that it will be DVC but they, they being Disney, have to finish selling SSR and get a fair amount of AKV sold. Maybe they bought with the impression that one day they will be able to stay there with DVC points??

They are not yet selling DVC Bay Lake Towers. The shell of the building isn't even complete.

I can't imagine anyone spending that much money and having no idea what they actually bought, assuming they did buy into DVC.

They're probably just trying to get your goat, knowing how big a Disney fanatic you are (you're are a Disney fanatic, right?).

the annoucement (which should have happen) has been put off until Sept or Oct.

DVC does not need the sales this year.

but might next year - so they want to make sure any sales of BLT goes into next year.

so we have to wait until Sept or Oct. Hoping for Sept - so we can see the models while at SSR -but it might not happen then.

Don't they still have the kiosk there? Maybe they meant they made their purchase geographically at the Contemporary, they just didn't think to tell you where the points were for.

I'm with the person who said they probabaly purchased at the DVC kiosk at CR. Hopefully they realize that's not where their points are.

You can't purchase at any kiosk. The kiosks are there to get people to the sales center at SSR.
