Hey Crystal, Have fun and thanks for the pic! Oh guess what....I'm BAAAACK!

I am glad this picture was posted, we left BCV's yesterday and I was SURE that sign was the just like that yesterday when we left. Hearing all these internet reports about it and the Poly and CR was revealed made me wonder if I was losing my mind.

Your wish is my command, it is done!!!

I just checked out your pic in the 2006/2007 Vacation Planner. It's on page 13. Awesome!! How did your pic get chosen?

Hope you're enjoying your trip and we expect a trip report when you get back. Have fun and a magical vacation!!!

Thanks for the pic. Been anxious to see what this is all about. Now I'm even more curious.

I was thinking about purchasing at SSR in the next couple of weeks but if a Contemporary DVC is announced on Jan 15th I would be really interested in that option. I expect that there will be no deals on offer for Contemporary (unlike the current SSR deal) however what are your thoughts on anticipated pricing? Do you think it will be a lot higher than the other DVCs? Should I expect to be able to buy into the new DVC soon or should I expect a delay?

Glad I got the scoop from this board before making my purchase!

Oh, what the heck, I think that DVC will be at BOTH Hawaii and CONTEM!!!!
HA HA, we can dream can't we????? I have no idea what the "surprise' is, but where did the Jan 15th date come from? How does someone know the date, but no info on the date (what will be annouced)?

As DOC would say... STAY TUNED!

What do you guys think Contemp's price would be? My guess is it would break $100 per point, if SSR is going "retail" for $98, and this is newer and on the monorail.

I believe it will most certainly be over a hundred. I also think dues will be very high based on sharing the costs of the monorail.

I believe the CRV will be in the $105/point range. It is all about supply and demand. If SSR was selling as fast as they would like they would not have done the 15% special. I doubt they will have an issue selling out the CRV in record time, even at this higher price.

Thanks, Liferbabe!

It's weird that the sign is so close to the ground. It gives the impression that whatever's going to happen will be right behind the sign.

I expect the cost per point for the Contemporary to be exactly the same as SSR. There is a chance that SSR may have an incentive, but the base price will be the same.

The difference will be that the number of points for a stay at the Contemporary will be much much higher than they are at SSR. It expect it to be the highest of any DVC resort.

So my bet is that the points will sell for the same amount of money, but you will need to buy a lot more points to get the same number of nights.

thank you for sharing the pic---

now to go and check out page 13 of the new planning book
