I am looking for a sight to purchase some DVC clothing, I was looking for a polo type shirt, something like the one that the reps at the sales sites on grounds wear. I can not find them anywhere, for that matter there is not a huge selection available, or I do not know where to look.

The clothing, shirts, hats, jackets, etc. have become far and few between. I have a few shirts I have picked up over the years and a light jacket that I wear all of the time. However, when we were at AKV in July and visited SSR, there was very, very little DVC clothing if any at SSR and none whatsoever at AKV. I honestly don't remember what was at SSR except I know I said to DH "Where is all of the DVC stuff?" There used to be mugs, coolers, towels, etc. None of that was there.

BCV and OKW had shirts...and the polo style too. BCV had the nice jacket too. We just got back last night so they are probably still available. :)

SSR had a few things including some hooded sweat shirts marked down to $20. When I went back a few days later they were all gone.

BWV has DVC polos, ts, and denims shirts in the the Sundries store. At least, they did when I was there in June.

Other than the resorts, try Ebay?

I'm at SSR and literally just walked back from buying a polo marked down from $39.00 to $11.99:cool1: They had pink DVC shirts for the same price and light blue button down dress shirts for $20.00. They had 4 sweatshirts left for $19.99, but they are all size XS. Even the cashier mentioned that she's never seen them marked down so low. Oh, they had beautiful men's and women's black leather jackets. Those were $295.00.

Why with a membership as big as we are can we not purchase what we want as far as the clothing goes? I can not understand why they would not like the advertisement? You can not buy the shirt I wanted I was told last week while there that it is cast member only wear, why not make some of it available to us as DVC members? I have a baby blue polo but would like the dark blue one that I have seen the cast members at the sales sites wearing, so I asked they told me they are cm only. You use to beable to purchase a great deal of DVC labeled things, what is going on?

I can understand why they won't sell an exact match to a CM shirt to avoid confusion. But when everything gets marked down that low it's obvious they are getting rid of everything. Hopefully, they will be replacing it with a new design.

That's one way of looking at it.

Another is that there just isn't enough demand for the stuff, which leads to the close-out pricing. DVC may be a growing segment of the market, but it's still limited. The WDW parks host about 60 million guests per year, and there are only 120,000 or so DVC families. And many of those people have been members for many, many years, with no desire to buy more DVC gear.

I usually come home with 1 or 2 new Disney shirts after each trip, but I'm pretty much tapped-out when it comes to DVC stuff. The only DVC item I've bought in the last 3-4 trips is a t-shirt I got at the outlets on clearance. :confused3

BTW, for the OP, I started keeping a list of DVC merchandise in the stores. Check out this page:

The page includes instructions for mail order direct from Disney. If you call or email and provide them with the SKU, they should be able to find out if the item is still located on-site.

We were just there (SSR) last week. I was able to grab up one of the hooded sweatshirts for $20. They were gone the very next day. There reallt was not to much available though.

More then one rep told us they were changing the logo sometime this winter! I am kind of attached to the old one. I wonder if they will sell the door mats at SSR when they change it, I would love one of those!

When I was at BCV last week, there were several shirts marked down on clearance. I bought a white polo late one evening. When I was looking again the next morning, they were all gone & had been replaced with new men's & women's shirts. I think the mens were dark blue, & the women's were a wine color.

The coffee mugs were marked down as well. I got the last two at $6.99 each.

I KNOW! We saw those leather jackets as well, and yes, they were a wee bit expensive. However, the real deal killer was that the logo was huge on the back and it blended in to the point of being difficult to even see. Great idea DVC, but perhaps slightly different next time...

I'm not sure if I buy that. They sell ABD merchandise right on the ABD website. I have a really hard time believing that merchandise sales are projected to be better with ABD than DVC. I know I would have a shopping fest if they offered a good selection of DVC merchandise on line. And if they changed styles and colors quite a bit, I might go backrupt. Since we have 6 other families that we know that own, we would buy gifts for them as well. Our pastor, my uncle, and my sister own too. Christmas and birthdays would be a breeze.

I hope that they do have some new stuff right now. My uncle is down there right now looking for new shirts and mugs for us. We all have the standard white polo and blue jacket they have been selling for how long now? I am dying for more of those freezer mugs. We bought two a couple years ago and haven't seen the DVC ones since. I've seen them for each of the resorts, but not DVC.

Oh well, I'll just have to keep up the search.
