DVC Christmas Pin

You will probably be able to purchase one on ebay soon. Or once, I mentioned it on the DIS that I wanted a certain pin and someone who was going offered to purchase it for me and send it to me. I paid her for the cost of the pin, the shipping charges, and a little extra for her effort. Good luck.

I always want the Christmas ornament that they give out at the Merry Mixer. I have to go on Ebay to get it every year because we don't visit WDW around the Christmas holiday. Kinda stinks that I have to buy it from someone cause they get it free, but oh well, at least I can get it.

Ok, I want this DVC pin. pin Why do they always seem to come out a month before I get down there?

We have had good luck with these pins still being available the week of Xmas. Hope you have equally good luck.

Did you get last years'? I have extras.

I bet there will still be some around when you visit unless you don't arrive until well into Xmas week.

We arrive Dec 27th!

We were so disappointed at Halloween. We arrived Oct 30th and all the MNSSHP were already sold out! We had tickets for the party on Nov 2nd. One would think that Disney would hold some back so that guests had at least a limited opputunity to buy the pins at all of the party nights. Especially since they were only sold at the "hard" ticket event.

I managed to get one of the 2006 DVC Christmas pins @ Epcot Pin Central a couple of days after New Years Day 2007. It was a 1000 LE pin, but I wouldn't be too surprised if you'll be able to pick one up when you arrive.

We're here now, and very likely (virtually certain!) to be over by the American Adventure Friday or Saturday (I "have to" see/hear the Candlelight Processional!)...I'd be happy to pick up a pin for you if you want me to...just zap me a PM w/"the particulars" (where to send it). Of course, that is contingent on them actually having it...but it looks like that's where it will be and assuming I don't fall and break my leg or anything like that, I'll be there either 11/23 or 11/24...

Happy, happy...

I am going in three weeks. I will also try to pick one up. I'll let you know if I am able to get the pin. :santa:

If DMK can't get it for you the end of the week, please PM me by Monday morning. We are leaving Tues am and I am going to get one, and would be happy to grab an extra, since we can get 2. :)

Disney has lowered the edition size to 750 which means it will sell out a lot faster. The DVC Food & Wine pin was gone by Oct. 27.

I'll get my pin in less then 2 weeks.

What an experience ... we're not pin people, so I had no idea about the DVC limited edition pin "drill"...it was rather amazing!

You-all probably know "the drill" for getting limited edition DVC pins, but I didn't and I was just amazed...first, I went to the pin trading cart at the American Adventure...didn't see anything that looked like the pic of the pin that was posted, so asked the CM working the cart...she hadn't heard anything about such a pin and said they had no such thing (altho give her points, she did spend quite a few minutes w/me looking)...I either didn't know or forgot it was a DVC pin, so didn't mention that part...she recommended I check at the big pin spot at the front of Epcot, so I did that...again, no luck finding the pins...so I figured they were late in getting them out or something like that and thought, "well, I tried"...just as I was turning away, a CM asked if she could help me...I described a pin "supposedly limited edition, released today, w/Minnie & Mickey dressed as carolers"...she said...."those are only for DVC members." LIGHT BULB goes off! "I'm DVC," said I...had to prove it...my DVC card, my driver's license, too...but I had both w/me, so no problem, and she opened a drawer, took out a key, unlocked a metal box, and gave me the pins! Such security...it was worth the errand just to have the experience!

Anyway...tomandrobin are now all set (unless they want more--grin); they've PM'ed me how to get the package to them, so all is well...it was really fun to do...I felt a little bit like Santa Claus!

Happy Holidays everyone...

I am glad you mentioned that you also need your drivers license, being a new dvc member I thought only the dvc member card was needed. :thumbsup2

I am going to try to get the pins in two weeks. :santa: Were there alot in the box? :rolleyes1

Thanks,

:goodvibes

I love the secret pin drawer! :rotfl:

The AP pin routine is like that too. When I went to Main Street Expo during the P&P party to get the AP pin, I had to show the AP, ID, etc. I guess some of the more zealous pin traders have tried to be sneaky in the past.

Glad you were able to get it and hope the rest of your trip was great. Only 3 more days for us!! We are surprising the kids and I cannot wait!

I couldn't really tell (wasn't really looking) whether there were a lot or a few of the pins...I was too busy being amazed at all the "security" (it really was sort of fun...kinda like a "secret society" thing)...but it does take a lot of knowledge (and "stuff") to get the pin...and I had all the "stuff" in different places...I had my credit card out to pay for the pins...my DVC card was in one pocket of my fanny pack, and my drivers license in another...and of course I had things "packed tightly" so it was quite the "exercise" getting all that stuff out, and then put away again...sorry I just didn't notice the "insides" of the box/drawer--

One thing I've found here at WDW is that "the rules" seem different at different times and in different places...some security bag inspectors make me take my fanny pack off, but most don't...some CMs make me show my DVC card to buy DVC merchandise and some don't...things like that...so you may or may not need your drivers license (or some other form of ID) when you go...

I don't know remember now where I got the idea that these pins were at the cart in front of the American Adventure...and they might be there (in a drawer or a locked box!)...but I found the ones I got at the big pin station at the front of Epcot...

Good luck to all you pin traders/collectors!

Thank you so so so much! We are touched by your kindness and efforts to get the pins for us!

Welcome to pin collecting, not for the faint of heart. 75% of the pin trading is the quest to find the ones you want/need.
