DVC at Caribbean Beach?

Yes I think it will help people's chances of getting a VWL room at 7 months with that many more being added to the resort.
But they won't open up the new villas for points stays until they sell enough of them. Just like at the Polynesian villas. They will remain developer's inventory before they will open them up for points. It will be no different.

Ahh that's right. So eventually the added rooms could help booking at the 7 month window. Could take a few years.

That's not quite accurate. They can't start selling until they're far enough along but they have to declare inventory BEFORE they sell it. They declare inventory in "units" which are often a block of rooms or a larger room like a 3 BR.

Doubtful, they only way it'd help the 7 month window is if it were more desirable than the average. Just being more in demand than SSR along wouldn't be enough.

I meant it should help getting a room at VWL because now there are more rooms at VWL to get. On the flip side VGF is tough at the 7 month window because there are less rooms to get.

More rooms and more owners that matchup. Unless the demand is less, it won't help. Demand is a far larger component than simple numbers. The points chart and villa specifics will be the determining factors.

Maybe I,m wrong but I feel like the demand at VWL isn't that high as of now. At least not as high as the monorail resorts so I,m hoping for a few more villas being available when VWL add more rooms.

I doubt it'll make any difference and it might actually make it worse.

Keep in mind the new rooms will not be part of the current "VWL". It will be interesting to see when the points charts come out, I wouldn't be surprised if the new rooms are higher.

No but you might want to consider a fixed week there if it's important to you.

Wow! They are converting 50% of WL rooms to DVC. I,m liking that. It will certainly help us at the 7 month window with that large increase in DVC rooms. After construction is done VWL will be the first place I will stay. I love the vibe that WL has. Like no other DVC resort.

Yes, we love the vibe @ WL too, the lobby is amazing. That said, we love coming home to the DVC Villas there, the lobby is a gem. We have concerns as to the influx of guests altering said quiet vibe. Hoping the amenities they design will absorb the throng as to increased guest to public space ratio.

Many of us bought into WL :cloud9:as it was then 'the' MK resort, sans monorail but we have a pretty cool boat lol.

I do find it interesting how AKV value rooms have been referenced here, categorized with OKW & SSR. There are so few them, it's not a like comparison IMO. Have only been an owner there for a few years, buying in because we rarely had success booking the studios within the 7 month window. After being shut out a few times since, have resorted to walking our reservations there.

Have come to the conclusion than booking an AKV value studio during popular periods is akin to catching a unicorn!:rolleyes1Spent the last week attempting to walk a reservation for early June (pre point increase). Finally, today, @ 8 am sharp was able to book at the 11 month window starting Monday, 6/5 Phew! Just made it in pre point increase. :yay:Dates prior are not available but I do have the Sunday waitlisted.

I'll agree with you. Larger DVC resorts are generally easier to book at 7mo than smaller DVC resorts. Generally BWV is easier to book than BCV because BWV has more units.

And even though Copper Creek will be seperate I will now have two different groups of rooms to try to book at the 7 month window. Which still gives me a better chance of spending my vacation on the Wilderness Lodge property.
