My family of 3 has PAP's. We are taking my DD's friend with us to Disney over spring break and can see possibly taking her again this summer. As a DVC member, can I purchase a PAP for her?

To receive the DVC discount the person must live in your household and have proof of that address

Sorry

Judy

So I can't use the DVC discount for my daughters if they live in a different house but are on my reservation?

When you pick up your actual pass at guest relations everyone getting a DVC annual pass will need to be present. Adults will need to show ID, have same address on ID and be a family member.

Thanks so much ! I am so glad I saw this thread before I bought the AP's

Does that include "associate member"?
Thanks

No. Associate members are not entitled to DVC perks & discounts jut because they are listed a an associate member.

Of course, for some discounts (like PAPs/APs), they may qualify if they are a member of the owner's immediate family AND have a photo ID that shows they live at the same address as the owner.

This is from the Membership Guide - which you can find on the Members' Website:

An "Associate" is a person named by the Purchaser or Purchasers who is only authorized to make reservations using the Club Member's Home Resort Vacation Points. Associates do not receive Member Cards and are not entitled to the benefits and privileges that are available to a Club Member. In addition, Associates may not access financial information related to the Annual Dues and/or loan pertaining to the Club Member's Ownership Interest.

Associate Members are not listed on the deed and are not directly entitled to member benefits (including member pricing on APs). Associate Members would only be eligible for member pricing on APs if they lived in the same household as the Member.

Per the Member Benefits Guide:

WDW and DL Passes may only be purchased by Members for themselves and their immediate family living in their household, up to a total of eight (8) per year.

I have to admit I didn't know that they now limited the number of passes that can be purchased.

DVC has had that limit for several years. However, I am not clear if the limit is per membership, per address, or per contract. Since our children are listed as owners on all the deeds (and both have their own blue membership cards), since they both live at a different address than ours, could they each buy eight and could we also buy eight if we each had that many people living at each of the three addresses?

Would it matter that we have three contracts all under the same membership number and all of us are listed as owners on the deeds for all three contracts?

Does anyone know the answer to those questions?

I would think the membership number would be the factor, not address, but I would call MS and ask. And if you can't get an answer with MS, write to DVCmembersatisfaction.com.

So I just got my voucher cards in the mail it says I need to go to ticket sales at Epcot, Hollywood, AK, or the ticket center and transportation center of the MK. Is that for real the ticket center for the MK super annoying to get to the MK the. Take a monorail ride to the parking lot. Any help please.

You can exchange those for your actual APs at any Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location.

My kids were so small when we bought DVC that it never occurred to me to put them on the deed. In fact, I didn't even know it could be done. Does everybody do this? Does anybody know if it can be done retroactively?

You have to be 18 to be on the deed. You can have the deed redone to add them, there is a charge. One thing to keep in mind, if they run into any financial or divorce issues, their share of the DVC could be taken.

I love my kids and all....but they lost being added to my deed after I read this. LOL:rotfl:

Minors can't be listed on the deed.

Is your DD's friend a minor? Children are not required to produce ID when picking up an annual pass. You only provide ID for the adults. That being said, the DVC discount is only supposed to be used for members and immediate family living at the same address. As an example, my niece lived with us for a while and we had a few trips planned that year so we got her a DVC annual pass when we purchased ours.
