DVC and Magical Express

My wife and I and our two young children are planning to go to WDW Aug '07. We've stayed at AKL and WL and are considering renting DVC points for VWL or BCV. I've heard you can get the dining plan but we were wondering if the Magical Express is available? If not what are good alternatives to get back and forth from MCO? We generally don't leave disney property.

See it's your first post! My understanding of Magical Express is that it is available to all resort guests including those staying at DVC on rented points. I'm sure someone on this board will either confirm that or correct it....Really just wanted to say hi!

Yes, Magical Express is available to DVCers and their guests and renters...We have three DVC trips in the planning stages, and all three are set up for ME (Nov '06, Jan '07 and May '07)...

Welcome to the DISboards. Just be sure to let the person you are renting from know that you want the dining plan and magical express, as the DVC owner must be the person to contact Member Services to make those arrangements. You'll pay for the dining plan when you check into your resort, but it must be linked to your resort ressie prior to arrival.

Welcome to DIS! Yes use magical express. It is convenient and free. Cabs to and from the airport are about $30 one way and the MEARS buses sometimes have long waits at MCO for them to arrive to pick you up.

Thanks everyone for your replies! We used the ME on our dec '05 visit and it was very convenient. There is a lot of great info on the boards and everyone is so helpful, it's a great resourse!
