DVC and do not call list *info*

This may have been already posted or most of you may know this, so I'm passing it on.

Spoke to my guide yesterday about doing an add on, she mentioned that I'm on the DVC do not call list which means that if I left her a message asking her to call me back she could not call me back. I was surpised as we never opted for DVC not to call us.

DVC has a website www.dvcyes.com that you can change your feature so DVC/guide can contact you.

I remember reading a few threads where members left messages with their guides and they weren't calling back, I'm wondering if this is why?

If you registered for the National DO Not Call List, DVD can't call you. Calls from DVD are considered a solicitation to buy a timeshare. The website DVC Yes gives DVD the legal permission to call you.

This is my understanding also.

All of our phones are on the national do not call list, I don't believe I ever entered them into the dvcyes website and we have not had a problem with our guide calling us.

My home # is on the do not call list and come to think of it, anytime DVC has called me it has been at work. Could be a coincidence or could be due to the fact that they assume I'm at work during the day.

We also are on the national do not call list but my guide has always contacted me when I've left a message. If a person calls and asks for a return call then the do not call list does not apply. The same if you already have an established relationship.

I'm on the do not call list i had to give Disney permission to call me back. it mite be cya for Disney to this. i could say Disney is bugging me about buying there time share Disney says here the proof that he gave us permission to call him

Most likely DVC has established a policy about the call list and will not take the chance that someone files a complaint against them, so they have have gone further than the law requires and decided to just not call anyone on the list.

Not really surprised, considering the fines associated and what could be really bad PR if they had some guides start calling the wrong people.
