I would add, however, that you might want to consider "Tables in Wonderland" instead of
DDP. TiW is a discount program that works at basically all of the sit-down places. For $75 you get a card good until the end of the month 13 months after you purchase it (ex. we bought one earlier this month and it is good until July 31, 2010),that gives you 20% off of your total bill. Note, it does add on a mandatory 18% gratuity, but, this is a non-issue for me, I would be tipping that much anyway.
A couple of advantages in this are that it allows you flexibility in your ordering (we will often order multiple appetizers, sometimes in place of entree's, or for the kids....), it includes the discount on alcohol, and you don't have to say you are on the DDP up front, just present the card at the end of the meal (some people feel that being on the DDP has negatively effected their level of service).
This past trip, we saved $155 on just 6 sit-down meals. When you throwout the initial cost, we still saved $80, and we will be able to use it on ever trip between now and the end of
next July.
The DDP is great for locking in your costs in advance, and you can definitely save
some money, but it is my experience that we no longer save very much and frankly get locked in to eating at the sit-downs more than we want and thus eating more than we want/need, because we feel the need to maximize our value.
Just my thoughts and something to think about
