you have to go out of security at PHL and go through TSA again

If your airline still allows you to retrieve your checked bags I gues it's your way as I persume you're flying US airways 735 you'll retreive your bags, go through customs and have a few minutes putting Duty free inside the suitcases and then drop the suitcase on the connection conveyor belt

In any other case, (and- duty free alcohol or liquids bought on the MAN-PHL leg will be consided having been bought "landisde" and therefore will be confiscated by TSA at checkpoint.

Any duty free item purchased after TSA at PHL post-security and on board the PHL-MCO will be fine.

We bought duty free Bristol-Newark-Orlando and it was put in a sealed bag that said not to be open till final destination and we had no problem taking it on as hand luggage

right, but remember that such bags may or may not be avalaible on your flight

I alway's go with the "olf fashioned/worst cas scenario" way. Most guests will discover it's even mucher easier, as if some pixie had just spillt some dust :)

That's fine but I'm just sharing my experience

Also the OP said purchasing at Manchester not on flight so I'm sure an airport as big as Manchester would have them if tiny Bristol did
