Duty fee for shopping online

HI I live in Toronto Canada. I am interested to order some lights from USA (New york) website

I never ordered online. How much % duty fee should i expect from canada Custom ?
I assume it's based on the value of the product. ( in this case $400 US dollars) ?

I don't have any specifics for you, but after ordering online once from the States, I will never do it again.

The price was $40. By the time they converted to American dollars, shipping and handling, taxes, and customs fees, I paid $87! Never again.

We now cross border shop quite frequently, and find this a much better option.

If the items were actually produced in the US (or Mexico), you will not have to pay any import duties. (Thanks, NAFTA!).

It will be 13% (GST and PST)plus $5 if they are shipping by Canada Post.

It will be 13% plus $50 if its UPS.
