I’ve been on 24 cruises and only on my last cruise Nov 2022 on the Fantasy, they had added the Dungeness crab legs. I am just checking to see if this was a fluke or if they are back to having those in addition to the shrimp and crab claws.

I’ve never seen Dungeness crab on board. The stone crab claws are very common and they have had snow crab legs. It would be nice if this was an ongoing offering.

So I am at 24 cruises with Disney and the last time I remember snow crab legs was like 2017? Between Aug 2021 - Nov 2022 I took 10… yes 10… cruise almost all in the Fantasy… the very last one all the sudden had the shrimp and Dungeness crab legs. I hope it’s not a fluke either lolCA66F073-540F-4F5C-8BD0-1A7FAFC47DE4.jpeg

The WISH had crab legs instead of the claws in December, so it may just depend on what is available from the supplier in Orlando.

I think they've always had some kind of crab on the embarkation day buffet, but it was usually stone crab. I'm sure things got weird during the restart, but I believe that's always the plan if they can get it.

We just got off the Disney Dream from NYC and it was definitely Dungeness crabs... they were VERY salty and not the freshest. This was our 7th DCL cruise and the first time we've seen Dungeness...its typically stone crab, which is what we prefer. Probably just depends on season

On the 7 night Eastern Fantasy cruise in May they had delicious crab on sea days, I never found out what kind of crab it was, but I hope the have it again on our next cruise

Just got off the Magic in September! Crab legs were on the buffet multiple days on our 4 night cruise

On the Wish in Sep2023, they had Dungeness crab--which we prefer--and it was fairly fresh and pretty good. We were a bit surprised since Dungeness is more a West coast kind of crab.

I had never heard of Jonah crab, so I looked them up and yes they look like the crab we had on sea days on the Fantasy last may. thank you
Me neither. They kinda look like Dungeness... Maybe we had Jonah crab on the Wish and I couldn't tell the difference? o_O
Jonab crab look like they tend to have black tips on their large claws while Dungeness are white colored. Digging back into our pile of photos, I see white colored claws. Maybe they were Dungeness?

Just curious while the thread is discussing crab. Has anyone ever had king crab legs in MDRs or specialty restaurants?
