If the kid did not eat or drink at all (including from your plate) then I imagine you wouldnt be charged. Maybe I am mistaken (Ive never had my dd to a buffet where she didnt at least pick a little bit, esp come dessert time)
I think, I would assume, that if it's a character buffet they will charge just for the character interaction. Couldn't you just call Disney Dining and ask them?
I've heard of a fee that they charge for Character meals for non eating patrons.
Once back in 95 at 1900 Park Fare, my daughter got sick and wasn't eating. This came about shortly after arriving and she had previously been fine. The waitress saw she had not eaten anything and didn't charge us for her. She was 4 at the time.
DH and I went to breakfast at Yacht Club Gallery one time, and we told the server that I wasn't eating and we weren't charged. This is not a character meal so I'm not sure how that works.
We have friends whose daughter cannot eat anything because she uses a feeding tube. They were not charged anything for her, but I'm not sure whether that would apply if you didn't have a special medical circumstance.
Last month my DD (11) was not in the mood for Crystal Palace. She went next door and bought corn pups and a drink at Casey's and brought them over. We were not charged for anything and they were very understanding of her choice.
We went to Crystal Palace and my ex MIL was ill. They charged her $5 to come in ( and even gave her a drink) since she was not eating. However.. we were strictly told not to share ANYTHING with her or we would be charged full buffet price.
My DD8 won't eat anything on the breakfast menu for Ohana w/Lilo and Stitch. When I booked it I asked Disney Dining and the CM was pretty non-commital, maybe they wouldn't charge me for her or they might. I'm just going to feed her in the room before we go to breakfast. I dunno but since we are on the DDP for free dining I'll probably pay for this one OOP to avoid any extra drama. We'll need extra credits for CRT lunch anyway. I'll either pay the $11 for her or not, it's not a big deal.
The entertainment fee applies for character buffets. My little brother and sister once fell asleep during a trip to the Cape May Buffet. The server didn't charge us for either of them.
god this is going to sound stupid. i really don't want the food at akershus but DGF wants the princesses (but won't eat w/out me). can we just pay 5 bucks a person and see the princesses and bounce?
