Does DVC send an annual bill for the dues? This is our first year, and I'm not sure how this part works. Any help would be appreciated.

You will receive a bill for the annual dues. You have the option of paying it in full or having it deducted monthly from a bank account. If you have it deducted the first month is wihdrawn on the 15th of Jan and then the 1st of each successive month. If it is deducted monthly there are currently no additional fees for this service. If I remember correctly you can also charge the dues to a credit card for the full amount only.

Fortgoofy, Welcome to the DIS boards!

Yes, what you've said is correct, credit card payment can only be made for the full amount due, or you can write a check. The other option is monthly debits, for which there is no additonal charge.

DIS-NH Dues bills are generally mailed out after the annual meetings, as they have to be "officially approved" by the voting body of directors. And usually arrive the later part of December.

When your statement arrives, be sure to keep it with your tax documents. It will have a line that tells you the "actual" real estate taxes paid for 2005. You may be able to deduct this amount from your 2005 Federal Income Tax if you itemize deductions.

PAMOKW, do you know if you also get the same overall breakdown statement if I decide to do an automatic monthly deduction?

I have monthly deductions and got the full statement. It will list your monthly deduction on the bottom. If taxes are underpaid (which they were the past 2 years), January's payment will be more.
