Is it free to park at DTD? On our dirst day in Orlando (A Sunday) we are not doing a park. I want to go to DTD that night. Is it a good idea.

Yup. Free. It's what we do our first night too. We get an early ADR at House of Blues and then wander all the way through DTD. It gives everybody a littlle taste of the magic :-)

If you're staying on property you should take advantage of their transportation to DTD. We've taken the ferry and the bus. It's so much easier and more fun. We never drive our car while we're there!

Staying off property that is why I was wondering about parking. Thanks for the info. What is good to eat at DTD that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

We always go to DTD on our first day. We eat at the Rain Forest Cafe. My kids just love this place. I have heard lots of people on the DIS rave about the Earl of Sandwich in DTD. I have not eaten there but I know it is suppose to be very reasonably priced. Here is some of the other restaurants in DTD.
Cap'n Jack's Restaurant
Fulton's Crab House
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
McDonald's
I'm sure there are more. That's all that comes to mind.
