Just curious what you do at Downtown Disney. Do you go there to shop or just to kill time? For you shoppers - what do you buy? For browsers -
are you just killing time 'cause you don't want to go to the parks? Just curious as to how DIS'ers spend their time at DTD.

The only store we ever shop in is the World of Disney store. We usually save all of our souvenir shopping until the day before we leave, go to DTD, shop & have lunch or dinner.

SHOP!!!!
I absolutely LOVE the Christmas Store and World of Disney. That is where I do the majority of my shopping at DTD (not that I don't stop in most of the other stores and pickup things here & there). Plus, with doing most of my shopping in these stores, I can have everything I buy shipped directly to my house to save on the sales tax and not have to worry about fitting everything in my suitcase or about something getting broke on the way home.

We do souvie's and some cloths that we hold off on buyoing if we know we are going down. They might be a little more but I have never had a problem with them holding up.
DD always hits the Scrapping store and bought a big TINK poster in OCT.

We (I) shop! We always get something at World Of Disney and Basin. Our last trip we added the Christmas shop and the magic shop. We also usually hit the Virgin store (don't always buy though). Lots to do whether shopping or killing time. Of course there are a couple of new places since our last trip, so we will have to hit those in April!

We shop. That is usually where we do most of our buying. I always say if I can't find it in World of Disney, I'm not going to find it. The kids also enjoy Once Upon a Toy, although we mostly just browse there. I love DTD! It is just a great change of pace from the parks.

We normally try to do 2 trips to DTD. The first is usually the browse time, done later at night, just to see what's new in the stores. The second is a little later in the trip and that is that harcore shopping one. Once you know what's there, you can breeze through World of Disney pretty quickly. It saves the mass chaos and the overspending of well, its the best that is here and then ending up buying something else later for that same person. I would say its half and half - shopping and killing time.

I browse a lot. But then, I'm there at least twice a week.

By the way, there is a big sale going on at Days of Christmas this weekend. Most Christmas ornaments are 30 percent off.

We mostly browse. We've been enough times that we don't really buy clothes or trinkets. One place we do spend money at is the place that sells designer sunglasses! We live in a small town far from a city, so we don't have any place that sells Chanel or Dior sunglasses.

I do both- can't miss Basin, the Lego store, and the Christmas shop. :)

And Ghirardelli's for a chocolate snack, too.

Where did you get your signature picture? I want to do a wall mural in my basement of something Disney, and I'd love to do that!!

Our very first night there we always go to Downtown Disney and usually always browse around, get something to eat.

Then later on in the week, towards the end, we go there, catch a movie and then do some serious shopping.

Shop- Once Upon a Toy, World of Disney- great selection of shirts. Scrapbooking store was a disappointment to me.
Eat- Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express, Ghirardelli
Play- Lego store, create your own candy at Goofy's Candy Co.

Browse and shop. Grab a delicious sandwich at Earl of Sandwich then later use our BOGO coupons at Ghirardelli. During the Christmas season, they have entertainment at the stage area, so it's a nice break to sit down for that. We also like to people watch when we get tired so we find a bench somewhere to do that.

A tip I learned here is to not forget to look up in the stores - some great stuff up there!

Foxfire,

What are BOGO coupons? We're planning on grabbing a snack there too!

We shop, shop, shop and when we are about to drop we go and eat at Rain Forest Cafe.

We shop and browse. We get all the souvineers we want at WOD because we get 10% off. We also like to do the Xmas shopping for the kids while there.

We like to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Hubby and I go alone sometimes to talk, look around and enjoy each other's company. It was super nice this time since we were a short walk away from our resort.

We shop at Basin (my favorite) and World of Disney, then go to eat at Bongos (my dd loves their grilled chicken ceasar salad) then go to a movie or Disney Quest. We love downtown Disney and can make a full day of it.
