DTD and traffic

Does anyone know what the traffic is like at DTD. We are planning to get a taxi from DTD to idrive for shopping and back rather than direct from POFQ to save a bit of cash. Would we save money or is the traffic so bad at DTD that the taxi would cost just as much going direct to the hotel. We would be heading out at 10.30 ish and back late afternoon.

Go from POFQ - it's maybe an extra 2 minutes max in the taxi and you would avoid all the chaos that is DTD.

Avoid driving to DTD or using a taxi in that area. It's a zoo.

you *might* save some cash (no guarantee) by going to DTD, but is it worth the time you'll lose ? (boat to DTD will take some time)

I think we will just taxi direct.it sounds like too much bother to go via DTD. Thanks for all your help.
