Do you guys think the DS bundles in the TRU ad this week is a good deal? I think you get the system, game, and a case. 129 for the lite and 149 for the DSi?

I was wondering the same thing. My kid wants that Phineas and Ferb game anyway, so I'm thinking it might be a good deal. You get a $10 gift card with a $75 purchase, too.

Yeah I was wondering about this too. I didn't really want to spend 140 bucks right now, as we are trying to pay off our Disney trip, but this might be too good a deal to pass up.

I've been looking at the bundles on Walmart.com and theirs comes with a game and an accesory and are $149/$169. The TRU price beats that especially with the additional $10.

I was eyeing this because the game choices are decent as well. A lot of the time they bundle with not so great games.

I thought the deal in the TRU ad was great...until I went into the store to buy one and found out that NO they are not $129 or $149. They were $152 and $182. The ad says "save $30" off the bundle price but then only lists the price of the DS, not the entire bundle.

It is VERY misleading, IMO, and I'm really unhappy about it and considering complaining to their corporate office. I had 4 people (3 of whom are college educated, not that it matters) also look at the ad and tell me what they thought the price was, and they all said $129 or $149...so I know I'm not alone in my mistake.

I went and checked out that bundle this morning online - and they don't even have the case. It's out of stock and you have to buy all 3 items to get the $30 off, so at this time, you can't even do it online.

That's really shady of them to list it as they do. I just looked at the ad online in the sale paper and it looks like $149 for the DSi bundle including one game and case. What a misleading ad!!

last year, I bought DD a DSI at TRU, and it was $159 (ten dollars off the retail price), with either a Mario console, or a Brainage console, it came preloaded with a few games and apps. Plus a case, plus the starter pack, which was the car charger, screen protectors, game case, extra styuses. But her DSI was stolen from our car in June, so I'll be hitting black friday AGAIN, this time for two, since my son is now also "of age" for video games!

I know that the year before that, there were preloaded deals also, on the DS Lite, because when my sister and i were prioritizing our shopping lists for black friday, she wanted me to keep and eye out for the mario bundle for my niece.

from what i saw last year, the holiday bundle should be avaliable on Amazon and other sites, just not with the $20 GC that Sears is offering as the "doorbuster" to get you into their store and somewhere else. I'll keep posting as other stores list their prices.

I got a DSlite last year through Amazon for 99 dollars. I guess I will just watch for one again this year. I went to TRU and was sad to find out the same thing. It was more money than I thought boo! The case was cheesy looking too. I think I will get the pieces separate. Lets keep each other informed so we don't miss the deals. I almost missed the Amazon deal last year! I missed the first day it was offered but caught it the next day(different color) thanks to the Disboard.

Radio Shack apparently has the DS Lites on clearance for $99 in store. May be worth checking out. I am going to head out tomorrow and see if any of the stores around here have them. I figure if they go cheaper on Black Friday I can always return the one I bought from Radio Shack.
