Just got a silver DS Lite at Radio Shack for $89. They also had Red and Pink left, but those were both $99.

Also, several of the DS games will be 14.99, including Kung Fu Zhu Zhu and Pokemon!
I just don't know if i want to mess with Toys R Us again, last year it was a mess. (probably just the one i went to, but I'll be in the same city for Thanksgiving this year as well)

Thanks for the heads-up, griergirl -- I just got a white DS Lite at Radio Shack for $89. Mine still had red and blue for $99 and silver for $89 too.

Thank you! I stopped by tonight and got one. I don't know how anyone would even know about this. All of the DS's are in the back. I had to ask someone to get me one and they had no idea they were on clearance.

I found out about it on slickdeals. I was searching for deals on them and someone had posted about them being a great deal at Radio Shack. I would have never known otherwise

thanks for the advice everyone i scored a pink one for $97 at radio shack. the case was on clearance for $4 and change too, but i have to get the nerf one, it is so worth it. thanks again

Woo hoo! Got two silver DS lites ($89 each), two protective cases (~$5 each - one red, one pink), two extra stylus' (~$4), and a car/lighter plug (~$2)....$206. Yay! The kids will be thrilled and the grandparents were happy I found them a deal.

oh so glad i decided to check the boards tonight, I've been really sick but figured this would kill sometime while laying in bed..I wanted to get DD8 the DSXL but if i can get a DSi for $89 you bet i'll jump on it..so i'm sending my step father off in the morning on the hunt..thanks so much! hopefully this means i can actually sleep in on BF lol

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's not the DSi that Radio Shack has it is the Ds Lite. The person we got it for doesn't care about the functions of the DSi so the DS Lite was fine for our purposes. And you don't have to go out hunting either-just call the stores and ask what they have. All the stores around here said they could do a 24 hour old no problem.

Thanks for the advice on Radio Shack I also scored a $89 black one there last night for DS Christmas present! I was actually about to go to TRU and get the TS bundle with the Lite but I read that and couldn't pass it up. I am so excited about him opening it up Christmas morning he has no idea he is going to get it and at that price I am even considering going back and getting myself one too!

Sbpebbles, If you are not a hardcore gamer and don't have the experience I would save the money and get the Lite. I did alot of research the other night between the Lite, Dsi, and iXL and since this is my sons first game I decided on this.

These are the differences I could find: The DSi has a .25 inch larger screen than the lite. They all play the same DS games but the Lite can also play old gameboy and gameboy advance games too. They both can play others either in the same room in close proximity or over wi-fi. The DSi does have a web browser where you can actually search the web where lite does not. The Lite also can't go to the Nintendo Channel to buy games and demos online.

Wherever you go to buy whatever you buy don't forget everyone you can take your DS system to select retailers including Gamestop and TRU to their DS station and upload game demos and trailers.

yea i wasn't too thrilled about her having the web browser enabled wi-fi on the DSXL that i was thinking of getting her..i only wish the ds lite came with the camera..but for this price i can get her a better quality digital camera along with a game and she'll be done....if i can find more than one I'm tempted to buy myself one--this that selfish? lol

Did they actually scan it? The cashier at mine thought the same thing until they scanned the box. I think Silver, White, and Blue were $89 and Pink and Red were $97.

I had DH call back and asked them to scan and the silver and purple came up $98. He called another store and they had silver and blue, both came up $99. Its funny how they all have different prices. A great deal, nonetheless! Going to get one today. THANK YOU to the poster who mentioned this!
