Dryer Lint Filter

After the load comes out ,but before I put in the next one! :)
Also I disassemble the dryer at least once a year and vacuum the whole thing.

I have just sat here for 3 minutes contemplating when I clean it out! :rotfl2:

I really don't know ... it is something I definitely do, but never paid attention on when I do it! I bet it is a mix of both, but my guess is that is likely before each load. I know myself, on a day with 4-5 loads of laundry, by the time I get to the last load in the dryer I am sick of laundry and cleaning the filter is the last thing on my mind. ;)

I live in an apartment with a stacked washer and dryer, the lint trap is a small basket thing in the front so I can see how full it is. I always clean it before starting a new load, but sometimes I will clean it before I take a load out, if I have dried a load that was linty and it is so full that it will get all over the clean clothes as I take them out. The lint trap is so small that I have to clean it out midway through drying a load of towels.

???

I do it before, DW does it after. What's the point of doing it after, if you're going to check before anyway (unless you know you're the only one who uses the dryer)?
It was edited after I wrote my post....lol

No kids home anymore so just check after now. Go outside and check that vent once and a while too.

I throw a load into the dryer and then check the lint filter. So, I guess I clean it BEFORE every load.

I do it after because I am concerned about it catching on fire. If it's got a problem somewhere I figure checking it out right after I take out the dry clothes would be better than leaving it in there until I do another load?

As long as it gets done, what does it matter? Back in the daze I went to the laundromat I had no clue there was a lint trap that needed cleaning, but if I needed to use a public dryer now, I would definitely check it before using it.

I don't think I've ever cleaned it after, clearly I'm the oddball. I always clean it before starting the dryer. It's in my head that the lint is dirty and so I do it with dirty clothes.

Cleaned after every load, so it is clean before every load.

Aren't your clothes clean when you put them in the dryer though?
