Dropping Days

If I book a reservation for, say, January 1st-8th right at the 11-month mark and then decide that I want to drop three days from the front end and only stay January 4th-8th, will I have to wait until the 11-month window opens on January 4th to drop the first three days?

The reason I ask is that if I dropped the days before then, it would result in a reservation that starts before the booking window for that day is open, which would be the same as being able to book a reservation before the 11-month window opens.

I suppose dropping days like this would be a form of "walking" the reservation, with the main difference being that I'm still deciding on how many days we want to stay and would like to get the longer reservation to keep our options open, but don't want to risk losing the reservation if I try to modify it the wrong way. Presumably, if I tried to drop days off the front too early, it will tell me that I can't make that modification because it would no longer be within my booking window?

You can not drop the days before the 11 month window opens for the 4th.

And, the system would indeed not allow the modification!
