We will be driving from Art of Animation to Universal early in the morning on Thursday, 12/5. We are staying onsite at Universal that night and hope to take advantage of early opening privileges.

Is morning weekday commute traffic an issue? Any recommended routes? We will likely leave Disney between 6:30 and 7:00 am.

Shouldn't be any problem. We have done this exact thing our last two early June trips and we didn't run into any back ups on I-4. Seems like we got there within 20-25 minutes. Of course, if there is a wreck on the highway all bets are off. :faint:

I4 can be at a crawl at 3am. You NEVER know. If there's even a disabled vehicle along the road, it will slow everything down even in the opposite direction! it's ridiculous. Anyway, shouldn't be an issue that early but definitely allow extra time.

Thank you! We are coming from the horrors of Northern Virginia traffic so I'm prepared for the unexpected. I'm just glad to know that it isn't awful on a "good" day!
