Can you order drinks at the dinner shows?I'm going to the luau and hoop de doo. I really want something fun ( tropical) at the luau.

The only (alcoholic) drinks included are beer and wine (HDD has sangria but I don't think the luau does). If you can order something else it would probably cost extra.

If you can't, I wonder if you could order one from the pool bar and carry it in.

Like all things at disney I'm ready to pay for it(big time):rotfl2:

Yes, there are a variety of delightful tropical drinks at the luau show.....I have great pictures of the one served in a coconut shell!:goodvibes
They do charge a fee, but I'm on vacation, right?:thumbsup2

The cost of HDD includes unlimited beer, wine or sangria.

:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 Yes we love the Hoop Dee Doo and as you drink the beer and sangria the show gets better and better:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

At HDDR, is the Sangria brought out by the glass or do they bring out a pitcher? Also, is it a sweet or dry Sangria? We're going to HDDR this trip. We went to the luau three years ago but I can't remember how they served the wine there.

Well, you have to remember you are at the hoop dee doo :). Your drinks will be brought out in a small mason jar. As far as sweet or dry, I have no clue.

I know it was wierd having a merlot from a mason jar though :lmao:

Unbelievable - I have never seen the jars that the drinks are served in at HDDR before. I had thought to give the sangria, merlot and rose a go but having seen the size of the jars maybe I better just stick to one option or I may never make it to the rest of the holiday.:rotfl:

Those aren't the actual jars, they're actually much smaller than that...:rotfl2:

I had the sangria via mason jar a few weeks ago, I didn't love it, not sweet enough for me. But worth a try since it was included in the price of the show!

I so want a coconut drink!!!!!! I'm going to be on :cloud9: mind you if I tave more then that:worship:

Doh, well, feel sorry for me its so cold that I'm dreaming of Disney and alcohol but not necessarily in that order.;)

LOL, I just meant that's what they look like. I cant tell how large those in the picture are.

the beer at Spirit of aloha taste watered down to me, stick with soda, unless you want to pay a lot for other drinks...

Can't believe drinks are FREE!?!? And I just found out I'll be going to WDW pregnant! I'm sure DH will pick up the slack for me!

At HDD, depending on how many at your table ordering same beer, wine or sangria, they might bring it in a pitcher (and you pour yours into your mason jar glass). Lots of fun, but with free refills, it is soooooo easy to lose track of how much sangria you've had!

Sangria is sweet sangria.

For information: the dinner shows are also the only possible way to get alcoholic beverages covered by the dining plan. Your 2 TS credits also gets you the unlimited drinks (assuming you're old enough to drink alcohol).
