What adult beverages would you recommend for someone that doesn't drink beer? I'm more of a wine or mixed drink kinda gal. (Though feel free to recommend your fave beers for my hubby.)

Also, is $10/drink enough to budget?

Grey Goose slushy or Grand Marnier Slushy in France

Sultan's Colada at Morrocco drink stand

Margarita at Mexico stand (we didn't like this but a lot of people do)

At restaurants...Pina Colava; Blackberry mojito, Sunken Treasure, Poolside "Lemonade", Orange Dream...I know there's more but that's all I can think of right now!

Price-wise, your average will be about $10 per on adult beverages...seems like some were slightly more (think the ones that come with the glow-cubes tend to be higher for sure) but also seems like some were in the $8.50 range too.

In addition to the aforementioned drinks, France, Germany, and Italy all have wines. Norway has a spiked coffee. I think you're out of luck in UK, Canada, and America.

Maybe not. UK has Strongbow cider at the beer stand, which I found to be a great alternative to beer.

I knocked out the Drinking Around The World last year, and for 11 countries it was just $100. So, $10 per drink should be more than adequate.

p.s. do not get the Italian Margarita in Italy. Horrible. Check the wine shop (or restaurant even) instead for an alternative.

Rosa Regale in Italy, Grey Goose Slushie in France and the Ice Wine Martini at Le cellier in Canada. (The plum wine in Japan was good too, just never made my must have each trip list.)

I love the drinks with the glo-cubes!! Yes $10 is about right, more with tip. A lot of restaurants have really good wine. I usually get either wine or a mixed drink (with the glo-cube, hey I'm at Disney!!)at dinner. Last time we had lunch at the Mexico counter service place and my daughter bought her and I a fiesta margaritas, layers of all the different kinds. Lets just say I was feeling very happy after lunch. I usually never have a drink at lunch, but it was really good!! Also some of the resorts have nice places to get a drink. When we are at the Poly I love the drinks from the pool bar. Feels so tropical!! Have Fun!!

Enjoy The Magic!!

I'm a multi-time veteran of the drink around the world campaign, lol.

Nobody has mentioned the bellinis in Italy. That's my fave in that country.

I'll help you hubby out :)

Mexico - Dos Equis
Norway - Carlsburg
China - Tsing Tao
Germany - Spaten Optimator or Becks
Italy - Moretti
USA - Sam Adams
Japan - Kirin Ichiban (One of my Favs)
Morocco - Casa (Another one of my Favs)
France - Kronenburg 1664
UK - Harp, Bass, Guiness, etc....
Canada - Moosehead

The beers run anywhere from $5 to $7 typically and are either 12 or 20 ounces. We love Drinking Around the World and will be doing it ourselves in exactly 24 days!!! :cool2:

Ditto on the Bellinis! :woohoo:

I forgot about these, I had one at Tutto, very good.

Another good one is the champange with Kir in France. (I hope I have that right, I am not sure how to spell the Kir part.) We hang out in the world showcase almost daily on our trips, dont try these all in one day.... :rotfl2:

For the the UK I suggest and Tanqueray and Tonic (and ask for a double - it's only 1.50 more...ok I just gave away my number one Disney secret).

Beer wise I only recommend Spaten Oktoberfest, Optimator and Franziskaner Hefeweizen at Germany or a Sam Adam's Boston Lager at the US.

Not one on the menu, but they have a Pomegranate Kir you can order in France at the same stand as the slushies. I highly recommend it!

Go during FOOD & WINE time, you will love it.

Those slushies in France sound good, so do the margarita's! Can't wait to actually have a drink this trip, last time my boyfriend were so crazy, running around trying to do everything we didn't even think about drinking until we were almost ready to go home! It was our last night in Epcot, we were there really late during the EMH, and I really wanted a glass of wine, it took forever to track one down! Definitely going to plan ahead this time! :)

The slushes in France are AMAZING!!! I could do 4 or 5 EACH of the grand marnier and grey goose drinks.

We usually watch the night show on the paris bridge so we have easy access.

x1,000 on the food and wine festival. It is a true culinary lush experience.

Thanks! I can't wait! I'd love to do food & wine, but we're gonna wait a couple of years, and then go down by ourselves for a few days just for that.
