Dress code for Disney resort dining?

Can anyone tell me if any of the resorts restaurants have a dress code? I;m visiting in September (88 days) and want to try out as many of the restaurants as I can... Am staying in the Dolphin, so will definitely want to try Shula's and the Italian at the Swan - Il Muno's I think?

For restaurants like Yachtsmen, Artist's Point, Jiko and California Grill, they will tell you when you make the ADR no cut off or torn shorts, no bathing suits and I think that's about it. We ate at Yachtsmen recently and my husband and son wore khaki shorts and a polo shirt, my daughter and I both wore crop pants and sandals. We saw people who had been in the parks all day and people who were dressed more like a resort casual type thing. We ate at Brown Derby which is also a nice restaurant but being inside the park, they didn't give us any dress code info when I made the ADR and most people were very park casual in there.

At Victoria and Alberts they have a strict dress code, the men need to wear a tie and jacket I believe.

The Swan restaurants I don't know about.

I believe both Shula's and Il Mulino adhere to the same business casual dress code as is at the signature restaurants at the other WDW resorts. While some people come to those restaurants in park clothes, I would never do this and generally wear khaki pants or knee-length shorts and an oxford or polo shirt.

park attire - provided it is not ripped/torn, contain offensive language or graphics, or consist of swimwear or a tank top- will be just fine at nearly any restaurant in WDW, including the signature restaurants. However, there will be many people at signature who are more dressed up than shorts and tees.

In the past the dress code for signatures was more strict but now you can basically wear whatever you feel is most comfortable/appropriate for your family.

My wife and I dined at the CA Grill on 2 Jun 08. When I made my ADR I was informed of the dress code. I wore khakis and a polo and my wife wore a nice pants suit. We were almost overdressed! Most people were in shorts. I believe the "dress code" is overstressed, but we enjoyed dressing up this one time to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.

I just made ADRs for California Grill and the only dress code restrictions I was told were no torn clothing, no tank tops, and nothing with offensive language. I think most of the restaurants assume you're coming out of a day in the park. When you call to make your ADR, the person helping you should definitely let you know about any sort of dress code restrictions.

Shula's will claim to have a dress code but they will not turn you away. That being said try to not dress completely down, but a button down shirt, jeans and flip flops is perfectly acceptable.

I was told the same thing....I said back to her "That is my dress code every day!"

Too back the more upscale dont insist on nicer clothing. I dont mean tie and jacket, but at least pants and no tee shirts.
