Dreaming of the Disney DREAM, Feb 17, 2013

I've read some are staying on property and some near the port. We are going to be at the Country Inn and Suites the night before with some of you guys! We will start the party before we even get on the Dream!!
My daughter :wizard: also just reminded me we will be celebrating her birthday on this trip. On Jan 31st she turns 7. We are also planning our Star Wars Weekend trip for my birthday and graduation combined! We are going to be at the BCV from 5/31-June 4 or 5.

Yes, the DVC cast member said it was technical as to the deck and such but they were happy to take my money to upgrade from a cat 8B to a 4C GTY cabin for the same four people! Funny how that worked for them!

Different categories are asigned to different lifeboats. While lifeboats for one category might be full, there might be space in another. :goodvibes

We are staying at WDW the night before we sail, mainly because after a 12 hour flight we do not want to drive (we always have a rental) for more than an hour and arrive in the middle of the night.
We will stay at Pop, have a nice dinner and after having breakfast at WPE we will head to the port and see you all there!
:woohoo: for having another trip planned and lots to celebrate!

Our flight gets in a little late Saturday night so I was thinking of staying near the airport and doing the one way drive on Sunday morning dropping the rental at Avis.

We had the same issue with our last cruise. My husband couldn't go and DCL was willing to substitute 1 person but we needed to add 2 so it became a mother daughter trip. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we're doing it again!

We have a family trip booked to Aulani for spring break but I'm sure we'll make it back to the world sometime later in the year ;)

Emma is an Aquarius like me!!! It's nice to know you'll be celebrating her b-day on-board. Who's her favorite Disney Character(s).

We're arriving Feb 14...Staying at Westgate Villas for two nights.
The night before our cruise (Feb 16), we'll be staying at the Country Inn in Cape Canaveral...

Are there any Police Officers or Firefighters in this blog?
Or kids who would like to be one whey they grow up?
Just trying to come up with ideas :cutie:

Emma is a fan of the color pink so Aurora usually wins! She was supposed to be born on 2/21 but was a bit early!
We have stayed at the Country Inn and so has my sister- both of us had good experiences there.

I know upgrading on this trip will spoil me forever but I cannot wait to see the verandah!!
:cheer2:

Wow! We've been gone for a while - lots to catch up on! Welcome to all the new folks! I'm Drew and my DS is Dutch (16).

Can't believe it's DOUBLE DIGITS!! party:

My husband's a police officer! :)

We usually stay at the Country Inn & Suites, but our flight gets in late on Saturday night, so we're staying at the Hyatt in MCO this time. I'll miss that complimentary breakfast in the morning...

Not sure if we'll rent a car or use Cocoa Beach Shuttle to get to/from the port. TBD!

We just booked Comfort Inn Cape Canaveral for the night before the cruise, too. We arrive late on Friday night so we will stay close to the airport for our first night. Then we are thinking of spending Saturday at the Kennedy Space Center before heading to the Comfort Inn around 5 or 6 pm to have a relaxing evening. Does anyone know if it will be warm enough to use the pools? Are the pools heated?

Two more days before I get to book Palo. Any advice? For our last cruise we booked Palo for our first night and ironically that was our night in Animator's Palate! We didn't want to miss it so we snacked at Animator's and then ate lightly at Palo but still felt so full we could die! I sure wish we knew our dining rotation when we did check in.

We like to book Palo on the 2nd night, I like to go to dinner on the first night so we can meet everybody. I would go ahead and book any night you can get and if that night is Animator's Palate, once on board I would go and change it. We had to do this once and it worked out great

Quick "?" Palo or Remy? We thought we knew which one...but now we don't know. We made reservations at Palo...should we change it?

Thanks for answering my "?" :wave2:
It helps a great deal...:cool1:

Sorry I can't answer the Palo/Renny question because I have only been to Palo. I bet you can't lose with either choice, though :).

I also can't book Palo yet because I can't seem to find a way to finish paying for my cruise online. Does anyone know if there is an online option or if I have to actually call to do it?

The good news is that it did let me complete my online check-in so I secured my arrival time. Silly, I know, but I like to arrive as early as possible.

LESS THAN 3 MONTHS TO GO!

I did not think you could complete your online check in unless you were paid up.
You can pay online just go into your ress and click on make a payment, it was the first box on the upper left hand corner for me

Dania, I know you already booked Remy, just let me tell you .......

We had dinner at Remy twice last summer and it is a set menu, you cannot order off a menu.
The food is NOT your regular food. ;)

There is also a Remy lunch/champagne lunch at Remy on seaday.

Tom and I have signed up for Palo brunch and we won't do any of the adult only restaurants this time ...... should make for a nice change. :rotfl2:

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Went into my reservation this morning and noticed that my GTY status now shows a cabin number. Not sure if its the final cabin number but I guess they are starting to sort out the room assignments. Just a heads up for others who booked gty.

We'll be cruising soon!

Robin

Yes, we are very familiar with the menu and service...did extensive research and read a few feedbacks...we are very excited and cant wait.
Brunch at Palo was very nice last year, but I dont think we'll do it again. Though, I didn't notice an option for Palo Bruch in the on-line reservation.
We can't wait to see you again and catch-up!!!
