Dreaming of the Disney DREAM, Feb 17, 2013

There will be three of us now. My daughter and I were already signed up- Liz 40 and Emma who will be 7. I'm now adding my sister for the FE- she is 42. My mom is in the cabin but not doing the FE. I will post our room as soon as I get it but who knows when that will be! There is not that much outside of concierge to upgrade to so I'm expecting a 4C like I booked.

I am so glad to know about the 3am check in time. I would have been really confused when I couldn't check in and probably given up and gone to bed just before the actual check in time!

Yes, I see your names on our list...:thumbsup2

My daughter and I are bringing my mom and my sister now! Just as an FYI because it has come up- we have the main dining. My sister Deborah is 42 and will be part of the FE. She was on the Fantasy for our Feb school break!! My mom- also Deborah- is not going to do the FE- she just wants to focus on spoiling my daughter! I also upgraded yesterday!! We have a 4C GTY (instead of the 8B 9010 we had.) I was having trouble adding my sister to the room as they said it was at capacity so I switched rooms.
So looking forward to it all!!
Liz
:wave2:

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but we were on a short vacation in Italy and I am now trying to catch up with everything.
I changed the number of people in your stateroom, added your sister and removed your stateroom number.
Please let me know your stateroom number once you know it. :thumbsup2

I am sorry I got it wrong the first time around, but my online check in time is Sunday and I'll let you all know how it works out! :thumbsup2

Going on to 4 days this evening we will be living in the dark. I'm at work now so I'd like to say hello to everyone.

:disrocks: One of the main reasons why I've been coming to this site is to learn from all the Disney Veterans...As much research as I've been doing on WDW for the last 15 years and travels, we can always learn from one another. :goodvibes

Being new with DCL I can sure learn a lot from Karin and other DCL veterans...

I am so sorry to hear that you are still without power, Dania!
We were glued to the TV when the storm hit the east coast and were praying all our east coast friends would be safe.

One cannot do enough research when it comes to making the most of your cruises. ;) There is still a lot to learn, even for me. :lmao:

Hi Karin, I am a bit cold and uncomfortable, but I am mostly concerned for Maryland and W. Virginia...they got hit with a blizzard because of Sandy...and due to the blizzard a lot of homes are without electricity and heat. And of course the NJ coast :sad1:

Tuesday night I actually had dreamt that we were leaving the following day on our cruise...weird...maybe a coping mechanism?

I hope that you get your electricity back soon and that you'll be to use some heating again.
We did see the pictures of W.Virginia on TV and it left us in utter disbelieve. What a horrible storm. We were so concerned about our friends in the NE of the US and so relieved when they finally checked in and we knew they were okay.

I love your idea of dreaming of going on the cruise as a coping mechanism! Let's hope this cruise is going to be a wonderful one for all of us and that we will stay REALLY warm all the time! :thumbsup2
Will you stay at WDW after the cruise? We will be at BLT until Saturday. :goodvibes

Due to airfare rates it's best for us to leave that Friday. Unfortunately we will not be able to stay longer. We're getting to Orlando on Feb 14th and staying at Westgate Vacation Villas for 2 nights. Then on the Feb 16th we'll check-in at the Country Inn in Cape Canaveral.

We cant make-up our minds whether we should spend a day in Disney or visit Bush Gardens Tampa...a few of my friends and co-workers have said it's worth the visit.

Ah, airfare! :scared1: Tell me about it! I booked our airfare for summer 13 a while ago .... here, you need to book early if you want a good price. After a while the prices only go up, up and up, but never down. :headache:

As for Busch Gardens ..... did you consider that it will take you a long time to get there? You'll get off the ship by, let's say 8am. Until you have rented a car it will at least be 9am and then you have a good one hour drive to Orlando and from there it's about an hour and a half to Busch, so you would arrive around noon.
Busch itself, while fun, is not like Disney at all. VERY little theming, great rides, but it's more like a fairground. We have been a few times, when we go to the Gulf coast and while we enjoy the rides, we really miss some more theming.
On the other hand (and considering the time you have) did you think about Universal or Seaworld?
You could be at UO by 10am, then in my eyes, buying a ticket for the day still makes more sense than arriving at noon and staying for 5 or 6 hours.
Not trying to talk you out of things, just giving you my opinion. :goodvibes

Actually, we were thinking of going Friday Feb 15th and yes we are considering them all...LOL. And Saturday, after checking in to the Country Inn, just relaxing...Thanks Karin! :lovestruc

Whoops, never thought that you were talking about a park prior to our cruise. :rotfl2: Now, that's so me, just jumping to conclusions. ;)

This is our first time on the DCL! It's a Christmas gift from our in laws. I've been hearing lots of good things about the fish extender and would love to join. Kids ages are

Daughter-12

Welcome to our cruise thread!
You are going to love cruising with Disney, it really is a lot of fun.
How cool to get such a wonderful Christmas present! Your in laws must be really special.
I put you on the list of cruisers in my first post and onto the FE list as well. To put you on the online list, I would need everyone's first names (we like to personalize our gifts), ages of kids and your stateroom number if you know it already. :thumbsup2
