Has anyone compiled a list of Dream's stateroom numbers with their capacities? I imagine this would be very helpful to some folks looking to book.
Specifically which rooms hold 5 people and which only hold 3 would be of particular interest.
Thanks
I can start with 10076 will hold 4, not 5 like some of the Cat 4A's

I thought 10076 was a cat 4a? We've booked 10078, which lists as a 4A, for my 5 person family. What was different about the room that it would only hold 4?

we (me and SIL) are booked in 9502 & 9504 on the Fantasy...connecting rooms that both sleep 4. and cabin 9500 sleeps 5.... same category 8B.
In this category, I believe the connecting cabins sleep 4 and the non-connecting cabins sleep 5.
We found this out after cousins (family of 6) wanted to join us. We wanted to save them from having to book 2 cabins by taking their DS in one of our rooms, and they would only need to book a cabin for 5.... there were no more 5 person cabins in our category.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. 10076 is cat 4A, but cat 4A rooms can sleep 4 or 5 people. The difference being a murphy bed in some rooms for that 5'th person. They all have the convertable sofa and the ceiling pull down bed.
Ours did not have the murphy bed (which actually was good because it gave us a bit more room). 10076 was also not an adjoining room so the theory that the non-adjoining rooms sleep 5 does not hold.

This is not the case for all the category 8 rooms. We have connecting 8C rooms 7670 and 7672. According to a previous cruiser who had these same rooms (as described in the stateroom reports section), #7670 will only sleep four while #7672 will sleep five. According to that report, #7670 has the murphy bed but not the ceiling bunk.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up! Is my noob showing yet? :rotfl:

8Ds that sleep five: 6172 6174 6672 6674 6668

8Ds that sleep four: 6170 6176 (and I assume 6670 and 6676)

.

Thanks, added them to the list. Didn't add the assumed because I want to be certain. I don't see a definite pattern here, does anyone else?

Dream 9012 - Cat 5A - sleeps 3 (no bunk that drops down)

Dream 10060 and 10062 connecting staterooms
Category 5A
Sleeps 3

No pull down berth in either :( My kids were very upset, apparently even our TA was not aware of this since all the literature states 5A sleeps 3 OR 4. Now we know to check specifics.

ALSO:
The verandah is NOT removable on the side that these rooms connect.

Wanted to add that the family traveling with us is a family of 5 and they got 8606. We are a family of 4 and got 8594, which I am thinking will not have a murphy bed. Both are category 4B I believe.

Some rooms in the same cat sleep different amounts of people. We have two 5B rooms booked for our next trip and one sleeps 3 (so no bunkbed) and one sleeps 4 (a bunkbed).

There is no rhyme or reason to why they would put a bunk or in your case the pull down bed for the 5th person.

Our last cruise we booked two rooms and got two rooms that slept 3 people each, when we had wanted one room with 4. I make sure to ask now to make sure I get the room that sleeps the number I want.
