Just stopping in to say hello. We will be on this cruise, too. This will be our first Disney cruise and DD's first cruise. We will also have my mom and MIL with us.

hmmm 77 is a little chilly for the beach on our last cruise which was in june i got 2nd degree burns even though i used high numbered sunscreen.

so excited!!! 2 more shifts @ work b4 my vacation starts.

The room they gave us sounds awsome! I can not wait! The 77 beats the 8 here! I am looking forward to sitting out on the veranda. Does Disney heat the pools like at their resorts to 82 degrees?

Glad the weather looks good! Nassau's weather is pretty much the same as our's here in Orlando, but you guys escaping the cold will love it!

Being from so fla 77 with the sun shining and not windy is heavenly. As for the water it may be a little chilly, but I really depends on the wind. I would definitely pack a sweater or jacket for being up on deck at night as it can be chilly and windy especially when the boat is speeding along to the ports. So here's to hoping for clear sunny skies with a small breeze, not wind.

I'm packing on Friday I have decided I can't wait any longer. I hope all of you who are starting out at the world have a great time!

Since we are in a deep freeze, I am free to part our summer clothes!!

Exactly one week from right now we will get in the car to drive to the port!!!!! I'm not letting myself even get out the suitcases until Monday, but I want to be completely packed by Wednesday night. It's a 1 1/2 hour drive from our house, and we'll stop for breakfast at Chick-Fil-A on the way, then arrive at the port between 10:30 and 11:00, and hopefully be one of the first on board (after Platinum and concierge of course!).

That's why I have been packed for 3 months.
We finally have snow here in Utah. Last year I would have been dying to get away from the cold wet weather but this year I will be happy to have the warmth of the sun.

We will also be stopping at chik-fil-a for breakfast and to pick up grandma as she lives in west palm an hour north of us, that is always our rendezvous spot off the turnpike to trade grandma for my dad to watch our dogs. Lol

Can anyone guide me in how much cash I may need (outside of the required tips)? Also, thinking of maybe doing the pressed pennies with my 4 year old. Do you think it would be worth the aggrevation of having to bring change?

When we went last summer I brought $50 in ones and only ended up using about $15 of them, mainly for two orders of room service and for the porter when getting off the ship. We parked at the terminal and I think parking was $60 for the 4 day, but I heard it has gone up since then. We charged everything else including tips to our onboard acct which I think was around $800. We are at remy & palo, did the glass bottom boat excursion, some shopping, drinks and tips.

According to the DCL website, it's still $60 for the 3 night cruises. Since it's our first cruise, we didn't sign up for any excursions. We may walk around Nassau a little but that's about it. I'm just trying to get an idea of how much I'll need so I can go to the bank once and be done. =)

We are bringing $25 in cash (in dollar coins!) for tips. We have no excursions and don't drink alcohol, so our only cash tips will be the porter and room service.

Can you stand it? We are less than 1 week away! Just signed onto the board and read some of the thread. Unfortunately, too late to be included in the FE. Maybe next time. Anywho, how does one best look for the discounted rates for cruises already booked? (too late for this one, but maybe for future ref). SO excited. Safe travels to the port everyone!

Is there anything special planned? I read, earlier, of a possible FE. We would like to give, but do not need to receive. If there is a list, can someone share it with me?
