We would like to join the FE list! Just booked this cruise yesterday making it number 10.

It will be
Shane (me) & my DP (Bob).
Cabin number is pending (will send later)
We both have a gluten (wheat) allergy in case anyone brings candy or food items.
A meet would be great on the first day before deck party, maybe in the family area at front of the ship by currents deck 13. If just adults want to meet we could use the Quiet Cove Cafe (Deck 12 Forward) or the Outlook bar (Deck 14 Forward Funnel/Midship Elevators).

Hi All - I did volunteer to put the FE list together - I was out of town on a Carnival Cruise last week - looks like I missed a lot of new additions - I am planning on putting together/posting right around Jan 1st. Hope that is enough time for everyone!!! Can't wait for our trip!!!

Just booked this cruise today!! We got a really great GTY rate, so this is my Christmas/Birthday (which is 12/30) present from DH. I'm turning 30 this year so I deserve a cruise! This is our second cruise - the first one was also a 3-night on the Dream in May 2011 with my mother and brothers and SIL. This one will be just the four of us. We already have passports, the kids already have swimsuits that fit (provided noone has a sudden growth spurt in the next 2 months!). I requested our same servers from last time (Goncalo and Drenka) and DD is very excited to get to go back to the Oceaneers' Club! We did not participate in FE last time, and I had figured it would be too late to join, but it looks like I have a few weeks to think about it. I would have to get/make a FE hanger and I am very very NOT crafty!

Did anyone else get a welcome packet today with booklet about the cruise and what to expect and another card with ressie # and a reminder to book excursion and dining at palo. Our last cruise this summer we did not get this packet, we just got a spiral booklet with info and our luggage tags. We are gty so no stateroom # yet, either way it means the cruise is getting closer!!!!

We are cruising to celebrate DH's 40th bday and can't wait! Is anyone doing Palo or Remy? Since we won't have the kids with us, we have booked both! We are taking the kids on the MR cruise in February and won't be booking Palo dinner then, so figured we should advantage of the opportunity on the Dream.

we booked palo for night #2. didnt get cruise packet yet but i did get a letter about the cruise insurance my travel agent gave me my room # right away. if u really want to know your room# just call disney cruise line im sure they'll tell u. wish it was cruise time already im desperate for a vacation asap!!!!

Hi! My husband (Maurice) and I (Crystal) are taking the cruise to celebrate our birthdays (12/24 for me and 1/25 for Maurice) and our 12th anniversary (1/8). We have taken other cruises, but this is our first Disney cruise and we are excited. I do have a question though. What is FE? I saw several people talking about it, I am just not sure what it is. If we do decide to sign up for it, we don't have our stateroom number yet as we booked a GTY.

Welcome to the DIS!

FE stands for "fish extender". Outside of each cabin there is metal fish on the wall that DISers hang a fish extender on. A fish extender is used as a place for other DISers that you are cruising with to leave you little gifts during the cruise if you've signed up for the fish extender gift exchange. A typical fish extender is long and multipocketed - usually one pocket for each person in that stateroom. If you do a search in the main DCL forum, you should be able to find threads that have lots of pictures - I think there is one called "Homemade FE Thread" out there that had lots of pics. I've seen people use all sorts of things as a fish extender, from Christmas stockings to gift bags.

If you sign up for the FE gift exchange, basically you will be passing out gifts to everyone else that signed up as well and they will all pass out gifts to you.
