Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

ok so I am under 100 days and I am in big time planning mode. We are working out all the fine points of the trip. We are talking about winging it with dinner and not making any res. at wdw. I am not sure were we want to eat and really just want to pick on the go. Also my one son really wants to go to seaworld and I want to skip it. Is it wrong for me to try to talk him out of it??

where is everyone....I am missing all the posts lately. My family is only 96 days until we fly out. I am so looking forward to that day, with all the snow that is falling.

Is it just me, or what? O.K., I really think that the inaugural cruise left yesterday. :confused3 No? :confused3 Then, WHERE ARE THE PICTURES AND THE REPORTS? :confused3 It's killing me to not know how it is to cruise on the Dream. :surfweb: I checked the Board. :surfweb: And again. :surfweb: No word, no picture, no nothing. zip. I understand they would enjoy the trip so much, so of course, they have no time to write a huge report. :sad2: But, no word at all? :confused3:confused3:confused3

Please, someone, say something! :headache:

(of course, no hard feelings...)

Do you know if its a 3 day or a 4 day? I am eagerly awaiting new Navigator posts from the Dream specifically. As well as how things work with 3 show times, and getting on and off the boat, and crowding at Castaway Cay.

There's a trip report on the inaugural cruise here:

I believe the inauguarl cruise is a four day, and the next cruise is also a four day.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the 4 day Navigators. WDWINFO has several navigators posted from the christening cruise.

Here's a new Dream update on Disney Parks Blog including a cool video of the AquaDuck:

You're quite welcome! There's a sub-board under the cruise line thread - Disney Cruise Line Trip Reports - where people can post the details of their trip. There should be numerous reports coming as the first "official" cruise concludes tomorrow.

Ok everyone thank you so much for all the posts and links. I loved them and did you all see the mickey pool at night. All I can say is OMG. I can not wait for the all the night swims. I am wondering how late the pool is open. My son just said he wants to swim late. I think a 1 am swim before bed sounds great. Or a trip down the duck sounds even better.

Our Family has 94 days until we set sail. I know you all are counting the days too. We as castaway club members can book our shore trips on Feb 7th as long as you are paid in full. Which we are so we will be booking like crazy. Ok we are not booking anything but I will be up checking out all the cool things there is and of course filling out the paper work for the kids to go into the clubs.

Have a great weekend everyone. :woohoo:

Next to the quote button is a button with "parentheses and a plus sign underneath". Use this for multi quotes, just hit every post you want to quote and when you hit post reply they will all pop up in a list. HTH.

I'm so glad you all help us all keep learning.:surfweb:
Maybe if I only studied the page a bit more, I would have figure it out....... It was just so easy, after the highlighted button "said" it!

Thanks again,

The several navigators I've seen so far have the Mickey & Donald pool closing at 11:00 PM and the adult pool closing at midnight. I don't know if the hours are actually enforced. These times were from the "press" and christening crusie navigators. The 1st "official" cruise concluded this morning so hopefully we'll be seeing more navigators in the next several days.

Anyone notice that our thread is up to 43 pages!

Yes it is enforced...they normally close the floor over the pool when they close it. I am hopeing the pools stay open until midnight. I just told the kids that they have no bedtime. I want them to get to do it all this time. :thumbsup2 Then again no bedtime :scared1: for to young boys might put me to the test. But I really want them and myself to be able to par-take more on this one.

Yes, I think you are correct. The restaurant you eat at on the first night will be the one you eat at on the last night. There's a code on your room key which gives you the sequence of the dining locations you are assigned to for your cruise.

It appears that my info on the dining rotation was not correct. Your dining location for the 2nd night repeats on the 3rd night, this seems odd to me.

The three main restuarnts are Royal Palace, Animator's Palate, and Enchanted Garden. Also, pirate night is the 2nd night of cruise - anyone know what "pirate night" is?

Pirate night is the night we are at castaway cay. I think that is the 2nd night. IT is a special dinner...menu that night the kids and even some adults dress up as pirates. They have a fireworks that night and a deck party. Disney is the only cruise line that does fireworks off the deck. It is very cool. Last time they gave us pirate rags to wear on our heads. IT was great fun.

We are getting hit by a major snow storm this today...and this blows big time. Then to top it off our dog has a torn ACL (partial thank god) but is down for the next month. Atleast I got my taxes done so spending money is on the way. I am just so ready to fly out now. I really need a vacation.

Just an FYI for all of you. If you are like me and using your refund for the spending money part just keep in mind the IRS is not working on any homeowners returns until FEB14th. I know for us we efiled so they are saying the refund should be here by feb 26th. But keep this mind. It is going to take longer to get those returns.
