Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

hi there, i started a FE and have been getting responses, :flower3:but don't know how to do a thread starter. maybe you can help me here? thanks so much.

Silly me, I definitely didn't describe it very well! ;) Really, all I meant was for the FE organizer to post a message on this thread with details about the FE. Whenever you get more info, for instance like whenever you need to update the list of participants, just go back to that message and edit it as needed.

After you make the FE post, all I'll do is attach a link straight to that post on the first page. In fact, you can use that link yourself to go back to the post when you need to update it instead of hunting through this huge ol' thread.

Phew, that was a mouthful..hope it makes sense!

Getting there slowly but surely... :cool1:
Now I have to wait to get under the 7 months mark for the cruise.

I don't know for you, but we started to plan this trip more than 4 years ago. :surfweb: So somewhere for us, the upcoming 6 month mark seems VERY important and magical. We will finally be able to book ADR and other important stuff. :woohoo: It's already about 6 months, that my ADR list is ready! I have ants in my fingers to send the list to our TA! :rotfl2:

We too have been planning this for 4 years...since we heard aboard the wonder about the new ship. We said at that moment that we were going to sail on the new ship with out a doubt.

I know 6 months really does not seem that far away....I just can not wait to tell the kids.:thumbsup2:santa:

6 months doesn't seem that far away at all!:cool1:

No it doesn't time really does some to be flying by....It is crazy how fast it is coming up. And only two months until the x-mas which means about 3 months until 2011:cool1: which means we will be in the year that we sail. HOW COOL IT THAT!!!:woohoo: We here are starting to plan our days and thinking we should get ready to pay the last little bit to dcl that way we are paid in full.

check this link out...it is about castaway cay. I must say it makes me want to set sail today.:cool1:

I don't know if any of you are like me- a crazy list maker- but I have been busy making lists of things. Things to do on the cruise. Things to do at The World. Places to eat :goodvibes Things I need to look on the clearance racks for to buy for warm weather when we travel in May. Do any of you do this?:confused3
Just wait til packing starts! Then there is the MASTER LIST:thumbsup2
I am afraid I'll miss something I really want to do :rotfl: or forget something :scared1:

I'm working on my ADRs at this moment. It's now at least 6 months, that my list is ready, I only have to compare the EMH and the time the parks open in May.

I also am working on booking the Dolphin swim (not just watch) in Nassau and other littles things that apparently (still my first visit and cruise) on the 180 days mark.

But there are already so many lists on DISBoard (and other sites also), that I didn't have to create my own list, I only collaged and adapted everybody else's lists that are offered for sharing. "What to put in the carry on"; What to put in the big luggage"; "What to send by mail"; "ADRs"; "Parks to visit on which day"; "Attractions to visit in each Parks"; etc.

My hubby keeps saying that I will not need to go since I will have visited in lists and in pictures so many times in the last 4 and a half years! :confused3

So, don't ever feel alone on the Board with your lists :grouphug:

:tinker:Poussière de fée

Yes! The DIS has tons of useful info, lists even for the listmaker:goodvibes
I love them! Helps me bide my time:rolleyes1
Waiting is hard to do!

Did anyone receive a notice by mail from DCL regarding your reserved show time? I received a comfirmation which says my confirmed dining time is 6:00 PM and my reserved show time is 9:00 PM. This certainly seems late. There are three show times: 5:00, 7:00, & 9:00 PM.

no I have not gotten anything from Disney....I would like the later show time..take the kids to the show then to bed...so mom and dad can chill on the deck. I will keep my eyes out.

We are looking at booking our hotel room for the day before..just wondering where everyone is staying and have you booked a room. I am wondering if I should book now. We were going to wait but with our ship selling out I am wondering or thinking I should book something now. :surfweb:

I'm booked at the Raddison, I keep checking for discounts at the Marriott Residence Inn but no luck so far. They're asking $179 for a room.

we are staying at CI&S...dont remember what i am paying but if you book ahead of time there is a discount. it was a good price. I've not stayed at that one, but have stayed at others and we never had a problem.

regarding showtime:

"On the Disney Dream, our original live productions will be performed three times each evening. In order to make certain everyone is accommodated – similar to our assigned dining times – you will be assigned a specific performance. If you are on the first dinner seating time, you'll be assigned either the first performance or third performance of the live show. If you are on the second dinner seating, you'll be assigned to attend either the first or second show performances.

When you book your cruise, you will be asked to select a dinner and live show time based upon availability at that time. Requests to change these assignments may be made during the booking process or upon boarding the ship, if availability allows. On the Disney Dream, a stand-by line may be utilized for unfulfilled show time requests.":flower3:
