Had a duh moment -- didn't realize when I booked our excursions last month I should have also "checked in" -- did it today and got a 1-1:30 boarding time.

Not too bad considering it has been open for a few weeks.

My favorite character is Donald, my husbands is goofy, my sons is Mickey or lightning McQueen, my daughter is Minnie or any princesses. So excited!

I am making our FE this week. Can anyone give me their dimensions of their FE? I have read on different sites that the Wonder and Magic's spaces are larger than on Dream and Fantasy. Does anyone know this to be true? I can't wait for fun in the sun!

I thought that I would mention that my kids, Brady and Parker (and my husband who is the biggest kid) are thrilled that Star Wars is now Disney! They all love the Mickey Star Wars characters, too!

Hers a question for the adults in the group - how do you feel about alcohol in gifts? I like the idea of mini bottles for gifts but I don't want to offend either!

Here's another question -- how do people in this group feel about Christmas ornaments as gifts? (not glass, more concerned if people don't celebrate or wouldn't use an ornament)

Our tree is mostly disney - so I would LOVE an ornament! Thank you to everyone for including me since I signed up late! I am so excited!!! I can't sew - I found Mickey duck tape and made my FE out of that! Also, anyone get a cabana for Castaway Cay! I logged on at midnight the first day and they were all taken

I didn't get a cabana. I'm way too cheap for that! Although, if I added up how much I have spent on FE gifts...but let's not talk about that!

We are taking the Auto Train down to Florida, so I can overpack all I want! That can be a good or a bad thing! I'm trying to figure out what bags I need for what legs of the trip. We take the train down, do one night at AKL, then the cruise, then two nights at WL, then 5 nights in a rental townhouse! That's a lot of moves and packing, but I think it will all be worth it. I haven't taken a two week vacation, well, EVER! I can't wait!! The cruise is the most exciting part. We have done Disney a zillion times, but the cruise is all new.

For Castaway I booked renting the tubes for hanging out in the water.
We don't have as much time on Castaway as the Bahamas so will
take full advantage. We may end up getting back on the ship a little earlier because we have to get kids showered and ready for the nursery and Kids Club.
Hubby and I have to get dressed up for our dinner at Remy and then that night is the Pirate Party!! Definitely will be a busy day.

Glad to see we have kids of all ages. It will be so fun!!

Getting FE's sorted and figuring out packing. We talk every year about driving down, and taking our time. then we figure, gas, motels, and food vs. more days at Disney. I only recently heard about the train, would love to hear more details, it sounds like the best of both worlds. This is our first cruise so super nervous but excited. I heard the cabanas go within minutes of opening up. DVC and returning cruisers get an earlier booking time. love the mickey duct tape... curious to see if we did the same thing with it I didn't book a special dinner at Remy, but already feeling regretful. i'm sure you are in for an incredible treat. Had my daughter pull all the clothes she wants to bring, and was able to convince her to leave the high heel boots (for pirate night) at home. there are a few newbies like me in our group and I wanted to make sure you know about getting items signed by characters. if you drop off a book, pillowcase, picture frame, tee shirt with CS desk, in a plastic bag with fabric markers or sharpies, and your name and stateroom, it will be returned to you signed. I think you pick either princesses or mickey and friends (some people request both).

The train goes from Lorton, VA to Sanford, FL. It is awesome! There is a whole DIS thread about the Autotrain, too. I knew about it because we took it when I was a kid. Now this will be our third AT trip with our son. Now it is our favorite way to go. Check www.amtrak.com for info. The earlier you book, the cheaper the fare. Kind of like the cruise!

We have a pillowcase or signing and I plan to get a photo mat, too. Trying to decide if I won't a 5x7 or 8x10 opening.

Our FE is now 90% finished and looks super cute! I still have a few finishing touches to do with the FE gifts as well. I am ready to throw my clothes into my suitcase and head out the door! Super excited!!!!
