I promised DH that DD(11) and I would go on all of the rides without inversions on our anticipated trip to UO(first time for all) and Sae World (first for DH). I have reservations about Dr Dooms fearfall though. I had somehow imagined it to be an open ride (not enclosed and outside) Is there some kind of enclosure involving darkness and or smoke? That would totally freak me out :(

Also, have a lot of you gotten injured on the rides in toon lagoon? (Popeyes andDudleys and also the boat ride in JP)

The only darkness on dr doom is the walk through to get to the ride where you may have to wait in line depending on when you are going. Once at the ride you get sent to your door to wait for the last ride to finish, sit down, pull the harness down, secure it with the belt & get checked over. Then the ride starts & it does not last long :)
As for toon lagoon, I have only seen a problem on the bluto's bilge barge rats when some idiot undid his seat belt:confused: slipped off his seat & cracked his head, served him right though. If you stay strapped in you will be fine.

stupid human tricks wont be a problem. My fam knows that saftey equipment is in place for a reason. As for Dr. Doom, I will just have to put on my brave face. I'll probably enjoy it, I did like splash and Thunder Mountains :)

The darkness is the dark and enclosed queue, and that's it. Smokewise, there may or may not be fog effects. Once it shoots you up, you'll be very much out in the open and outside. Mwahaha. ;)

Dr. Doom is intense the first time you do it. Most are nervous, scream on the way up, then laugh on the way down when they realize they've survived. Then you get a great view of the park as you bounce up and down a few times.

My husband hurt his rib (likely broke it) on JP. He won't ride that ride again and we give him a hard time about it. :) The rest of us will ride it again, but I really can't blam him for not wanting to go on it.
