We are going home to SSR for the first time on 8/28/05. I heard that there are fireworks at Downtown Disney. Does anyone know the schedule? Thanks for your help!
Midnight. Every stinking night. Unless they're cancelled for weather reasons. They're about 25 seconds long, that's it. The only extended shows are, I believe, for New Years and the 4th of July. I love the July 4th show.
The NYE PI fireworks were the best fireworks I have seen at WDW with Wishes being a close second. What it lacks in choreographed music it makes up for in sheer firepower!
We were at SSR NYE on our patio in CP and I was so glad we were not in the parks and had that Awesome private viewing.
We saw the Epcot fireworks from our patio at SSR too and also while at Epcot. They were not to be missed, but we saw them earlier in the week. EPCOT had a special finale for the holidays which was really great.
PI has special fireworks more often than I thought. In June they had a month-long Music celebration, and each Saturday night they had AWESOME extended fireworks.
I personally think nothing beats Epcot fireworks for NYE! We are doing that again this year. DTD will be loud and a bit more traditional display instead of the choreographed events you will see at the parks.
There's a 12 Midnight showing at DTD!
I was ther in Apr '05...lasts about 30 seconds...NOT like Epcots or at
Cindy's House! Oh,yeah, one thing you should know...if your planning to stay at SSR in Congress Park with tots...there's a lot of noise to go along with
that show...could wake them up.
We timed the usual DTD fireworks at 45 sec. You only see the high ones unless you're at Pleasure Island. It's really a non-event, though I guess it would be pleasant to see them from the CP pool.
