Down the Rabbit Hole Update Post 136 (6 July 2009) Two Rooms

10epedition.jpg

I stayed home sick from school today with a headache, stomach ache, nausea, strep, and fever so you get an update. Yay! This is part two of the Top 7 Must Do’s at Walt Disney World, but this is the Epcot Edition. Epcot is a sort of World’s Fair but completely different. Some say that EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. I believe it stands for something more along the lines of Every Person Comes Out Tired. But, that’s just me. There is so much to do at Epcot, it’s astonishing you get anything done!

Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. Mice freak me out. I'll say it now. Years ago, I screamed so loud when we found a mouse in our kitchen, that I gave it a heart attack. But, I love this because it's a classic and you just feel happy after riding it. I always walk out with a big grin on my face.

Thank you. I love Spectro and I have a feeling your kids will really like it. Maybe you will come back with a new favorite, you never know. We're going with the flow mostly, but we can't book anything until 90 days before. But, I sent you a PM.

Um no she was asking the 14yo's daddy to buy us a drink :teeth:

I rode Nemo for the first time when I went on the girls trip and had a blast! :lmao: Just think in 7 more years you can go on the girls trip with us..

Um no she was asking the 14yo's daddy to buy us a drink :teeth: [COLOR-"Red"]That makes much more sense then. I doubt he'll go for it though since he doesn't drink.[/COLOR]

It is quite fun! What girls trip are you talking about, exactly?

Some lucky Limey Girls did a Girl's trip a couple of years ago...no husbands, no kids, just the "girls". I didn't get to go, but hopefully in a couple years I can convince DH that it's a good idea...I started with a Road trip to T's and I'm working my way up from there.:Teeth:

Oh. Cool. But why seven years? I'll be twenty then and if you want me to go we'll have to do it in the summer. We should start planning on the limey thread.

This week is SOL WEEK!
Which means, that you get very few updates for the next few weeks because of SOLs and Exams. But, when they are over, you will be overwhelmed with updates!
I'll try to get one out today, but I have my science SOL tomorrow so I'll probably be studying. It's on everything we learned sixth, seventh, AND eighth grade. Oh joy!

She is your online daughter Heather... You need to say it louder

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR EXAMS!

She's my DIS Daughter....I believe that due to her love of all things Disney, she is not Stubborn like my kids.

Oh wait....they love Disney too...nevermind.....:rolleyes1

Oh, trust me, I am extremely stubborn. I give seven year old girls a run for their money.

Your DIS Mama was that way too apparently. Maybe it's an only child thing:confused3
But how are you with 4 year olds?

and 5 year olds? Martina literally cried for an hour last night because her nightlight broke. We have other nightlights, but she wanted THAT one...at 9pm:rolleyes1

But how are you with 4 year olds?
Good question. I'm babysitting a 20 month old boy and then helping with his older five year old brother's birthday party all about Star Wars (which I have absolutely no knowledge on...)

That's not a stubborn thing, it's an I want to stay up late thing.

This is part three of the Top 7 Must Do’s at Walt Disney World, but this is the Disney Studios Edition. At Disney Studios you will step through the portal of reality and into the classic days of Hollywood. Here, you will drop into the Hollywood Tower Hotel and get creeped out by the really tall cast member (he’s really funny though, but for some reason people aren’t too thrilled to turn around and find this tall guy staring you down); fly to Endor in Star Tours (and almost die/puke but that’s another story for another time); listen to a monologue my dad and I have heard so many times that we can repeat it by heart in the Great Movie Ride; go to a concert like no other in Rockin’ Rollercoaster; and compete against your family in a carnival style atmosphere in Andy’s bedroom in Toy Story Mania (and preferably kick their butts, as usual). So, let’s get rolling!

fantasmic_steamboat_willie.jpg

Fantasmic. I have some good memories of this show and some not so good memories. A good memory? This was one of my favorite fireworks shows for the LONGEST time and I was so excited when we saw this on the night of my birthday (we came to Disney over my 8th birthday. I was very excited!) A bad memory? During one occurance I tripped, fell down the stairs, and broke my elbow. NOT FUN. And very painful. But, it was still fun and I was lucky it was in December and not in the summer.

BACKTOUR_1_998.jpg

Backlot Tour. I used to hate this ride when I was little kid. I used to be terrified of fire, but now I willingly ride this ride. My dad insisted I put this in the top seven because it is one of his favorite rides. Why? Because, according to him, it made a good threat when I was misbehaving at Disney.

Number 5
STARTOUR_1_998.jpg

Star Tours. I love this ride because while it is corny, it is still a lot of fun!

Number 4
GREMOVRIDE_1_998.jpg

The Great Movie Ride. This ride holds a special place in my heart because, quite frankly, I am a sucker for those sappy memoir slideshows. My favorite part!

Number 3
Rock%20n%20Roller%20Coaster.jpg

Rockin’ Rollercoaster. I used to be terrified to ride this ride. It especially didn't help that every time I had a sliver of courage to ride it, I would see the people take off. Needless to say, it took awhile to get me to ride it. But, when I first rode it, I hated it. No happy story of how I proved myself wrong and ended up loving. No, I HATED it. I had a problem with keeping my head centered and ended up with a very bad headache worthy of a pissy missy temper tantrum (view UtahMama's first TR of her WDW vacation). But, I rode it a second time and after keeping my head centered I LOVED IT! Every time we went to DS "What do you want to do now?" "Rockin' Rollercoaster!" My dad officially dubbed me insane. But, he loves it too so we're all good.

Number 2
Toy_Story_Mania.jpg

Toy Story Mania. I love this new ride! On Buzz Light Year my dad beats me EVERY TIME. It really makes me mad, as I am sure you can tell. So, I especially love Toy Story Mania because I kick his butt EVERY TIME. I love it! I will share with y'all my special secret. To get a higher score in accuracy AND points value, I flick my wrist which makes the things shoot out faster and hit more targets. Which then results in me kicking my dad's butt. Oh, the joys of my life:goodvibes

tower_of_terror.jpg

Tower of Terror. Tower of Terror is just thrilling and makes you feel giddy inside when you are riding. There is a tall African American CM who greatly resembles lurch. In the pre-show you will turn around and BAM there he is! Ready to scare the living daylights out of you! This ride has another memory of when we rode it one time, there was a group of teenage girls in the pre show. When the announcer was about to say "For this elevator takes you directly to dramatic pause the Twilight Zone." Instead, they replaced the Twilight Zone with "THE GIFT SHOP!" Becca and I plan to do this next time we ride it. The last time Becca went to Disney with us, I raised holy hell so I wouldn't have to ride this ride. So she is still a little doubtful that I actually rode it. So, I'm excited to prove that I have ridden Tower of Terror and loved it. Although, I can't blame her for not believing me consider it was a holy hell worthy temper tantrum.
