you are welcome, Julie!! sorry it was so late getting to you.
It is hard to fight logic to come up with a reason not to go back to Disney.. You are raising a very smart little girl!!!

Jill - I wanted to let you know that I got the gift card in the mail on Saturday! Thank you again!!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Santa also went overboard at our house! It seems he forgets everything that he got the kids until he starts pulling it out of the bag and thinks "gosh, I guess I'll give it all to them anyway". :rotfl2: We got loads of video games for the Wii and dd's Nintendo DS. I'm back to work today though :surfweb:; at least it is another short week.

I'm trying to figure out if we can't sneak in another quick trip down some-time next year. After we watched the WDW parade Christmas morning, I found dd in her room flipping through her "guide to the magic" book from our trip. When she saw me she said, "I'm sad, mommy". When asked why, she said "I want to go back. There are so many things we didn't get to see!". So, now, a GOOD excuse to go back sooner than our 2 year promise. We'll see!

Hope you all have a Happy New Year!!

Hello all, Hope everyone had a great holiday, been trying to keep up with everything that is going on, I don't know what is missing from the stroller but have some buy buy baby coupons and can pick up what may still be missing if needed. let me know. :cool1:

the sunshade and rain cover along with the front bar went missing. I don't think the front bar or the sunshade are too big of a deal. If anything I would say the rainshade is the most practical.
But there is a good chance Delmar may be able to hunt them down. She posted she is going in January and can try to find them. That would be great!!! But not the end of the world if they are gone.

from the looks of her ticker it looks like kwilliamsrn and I will arrive on the same day, Jan 21st. I'm staying at AKV so I'll start my hunt there and move to OKW if necessary. I'm also going to check in lost and found to see if maybe they sent it there or to long term storage if I need to. My trip is just literally burning up points and taking a mommy hiatus so it will give me something to do with myself! LOL

wilsonfamily4----you leave tomorrow!!! where are you leaving from...flying or driving? if you happen to check these boards before you go, have a good, safe trip. I will wait for your update as to claim check or pick up info for the stroller.
please update us when you get back how everything goes!

Hi,
It appears those dates are open. So you should be good to go for them. The stroller will be available at the last resort it was used at if you are off-site or transferred to your resort under your name (and claim ticket) if you are staying on site. Just use the stroller, make sure it is clean when you are done and then hand off/drop off to the next user.
Very easy and pretty hassle free. :goodvibes

The stroller would be fine for an average sized 5yr old (less than 50lbs) but your dates are taken through the 14th of May. You could get the stroller on the 15th through the 17th though.

Hey All, I'm just settling down from the holidays. Boy, was it a whirlwind from Thansgiving until yesterday for us.

As for our trip, we had a great time. Obviously, I never was able to track down the stroller accesssories. And there were those greasy spots on the lower part of the stroller. I tried to clean, but it didn't come off. Plus, the stroller got soaked on the Thursday we were there, so it got a "good cleaning", lol. I tried to cover the stroller in the rain, but it was hard. The wind kept blowing. I used a combo of blankets and plastic ponchos, but it still mananged to get rather wet. It dried very quickly though in our room.

Our trip was great. Our only bad day was Thursday, when it was pouring rain and cold. Plus, I ended up having strep throat the whole time I was there. I was able to ignore it up until thursday, but then I had to go to a doc in the box and get a shot of antibiotics. Thursday was our Epcot day, so I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to everything.

The kids loved the parks!! They were more interested in the rides than the characters. My dd apparently loves roller coasters. She's 6! She went on every single coaster and wanted to know where there were more. My son was just barely too short to go on any coasters, except barnstormer. We knew this, so we didn't ever try to get him on. He still had a great time. My son, who is 3, will tell you his favorite rides were Peter Pan, Small World, Buzz Lightyear, and Toy Story Mania. My dd's favorite rides were Expedition Everest, the Great Movie Ride, Splash Mountain, and RocknRoller Coaster.

The stroller was great. It just zipped around and turned on a dime. It was easy to push and great for a taller person to manuever. If my 6 year old got out of the stroller and my 3 year old (30lbs.) was still in there, the front would wobble. The stroller really needs some weight in it to push smoothly. When my 3 year old was in it solo, I would just tilt the stroller back a bit and just let it ride on the back wheels. At the Magic Kingdom gates, we'd just have the kids jump out and we'd fold the stroller up and carry it through, or lift it over the gate. We didn't have any problems at the other parks. My kids really loved the stroller. I wish I had one of those at home. :)

vbarry---if you are home and get this update, please stop by to let us know if your stroller handoff went smooth. Thanks!!

rainy~daze did you get my pm re all my info for our swap on 21st:cheer2:

I did get the pm, I am not 100% sure what we are doing that day yet, I will likely leave it at the hotel for you. I will let you know as soon as I know.

I heard from vbarry--they handed off the stroller. all is well.

it is funny I think her kids had the same view most of ours had, they were all sad to give the stroller back. That is so funny to me. Even my guys were like, wait--we don't get to keep it? WHY NOT??!!?? they loved having it. So did my back.

This has been a pretty good process so far. Not even terrible having to replace it, thanks to YoMickey(could not have put a new one in service without you) and the manufacturer (sending a new one without having the old one back) helping me make a smooth transition.

I do not know how much longer I can keep running the swap though. I have most dates secured till May, we have a few gaps that need to be filled--but not terrible ones. It is time consuming, though not as bad as it was in the beginning trying to get it running. If anyone would like to take over the swap, please PM me.
I also think if it is going to keep going, we may consider starting charging again and then replace the stroller as soon as we have enough to do so. It is working as far as I know, but time will take a toll on it. Especially with daily hard use like it gets.
Thoughts??
