I rented points through a DVC member so I cannot get that great rate. :( BUMMER. It sounds like a great deal.

I am getting more excited about the trip! I have now bought one leg of our trip on United. Waiting for a good deal for the way back now.

I think I am at like 56-57 days!

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows where the storage area is for the Beach club Villas? The mom ahead of me in the swap is being so nice as to drop it off at the BCV for me, but I don't know where to tell her to go? :confused3 Does anyone have any ideas? TIA!! :goodvibes

The best bet is to have them ask at the Front Desk of the Beach Club. This is where you will be checking in.

we just stayed here but didn't go down to bell services at all. I beleive it was in the doors to the right is bell services. the checkin desk is to the right so they could direct you, also there is usually a greeter right when you walk in the door who could direct you to.

Hey Julie....Not any better here...

Hopefully soon, so I can share the rest of our Trip. Just a teaser, we were met by the dream squad at Animal Kingdom.....:cool1:

oooooh----a DREAM!!!! tell us!!

A dream! How exciting! We saw a couple of families with dream fast passes on at MK one day, but we never even actually saw anyone from the dream team.

Hey All,
Just checking in. We got our travel docs yesterday!

We've had a rough couple of weeks. My dad's company has been hard hit with the financial crisis-he works in cotton futures (wall street, trading, etc.). We thought we were going to have to cancel our trip. But yesterday my mom said she was going to go with us and my dad is just going to stay behind. He can't go, since they had major layoffs at his office. There's no one that can do his job in his absence (and he's grateful he didn't get the axe).

To add to it, my dd has been sick off and on since Aug. with sinus and ear infections. We just found out Monday that she has a deviated septum-which we think is the cause behind the problems. I'm just hoping to keep her well enough for Disney!

I'm glad to hear everyone is having positive experiences at the World. In 1 month, we'll be there. This is so exciting and bittersweet for us (since Dad is not going).

Baloo's girl--I hope everything works out for you! It seems to be a lot to deal with all at once.
But having those travel docs should make your heart feel a bit lighter! Nothing beats being in the world to cheer you up a bit! I hope everything works out for your family.

Anyone taking advantage of the new 7 for 4 offer? We rented points for a part of our stay in January-and so far no luck convincing DH we need ot go back in Feb or Mar for P&PP, so I doubt we will do it.

It does not seem like the best deal out there. Unless you are staying at a more expensive resort and getting 3 free nights there. But that is my thought. I have found way better deals out there. (not necessarily on site, but I don't mind staying offsite sometimes either-some places are amazing!)

Not us. We can't pull dd out of school again - so a full week is out of the question before school is out. And I don't think I want to try to go in June. If I am going to be in FL in the summer, I want to be at the beach! :rotfl:

It's a pretty good deal if you are staying at one of the deluxe resorts - especially if you could get in with the $200 gift card. I think free dining might come out to a better deal at one of the lower priced resorts, though.

We aren't going back until 2010 though - we'll probably try to do another Ocotober trip then.

I was dreaming of taking another trip but there is no way. No one has the time to do it and I'm not taking the kids on my own. But I did have fun pricing out different scenarios!

Hi I was able to get a great deal with the new offer need to update with everyone now staying at POLY wondering if I can keep the stroller for one extra day since the dates are still open.

already have the stoller 1/21/09- 1/27/09, now we will be staying until 1/28
please let me know.

Well, I'm starting to feel better.

OK, so here is our Dream.

We were a VIP family at Animal Kingdom. Our dream squad member was like a fastpass. She walked us onto all the rides. We even had our own safari for the 12 of us. For the ones in our group who didn't go on Everest, they were able to go into the surveilance room and watch us on the ride. My mom and son thought that was cool. We had front row seating for the Nemo Show and a great spot for the parade.

I have a new respect for Animal Kingdom. We actually spent the entire day there. It was awesome.

My only dissapointment the whole trip was Chef Mickey's. Now, I've eaten there about 4 previous times. This time, our ADR was at 8:20. We were not seated until 9:00. That was after twice being told our table would be ready in 15 minutes. Now, we all have kids, so we know what they are like that late at night and hungry! Once we were seated, our waitress brought us our drinks, and that was all that we saw of her. In the hour that we were there, we only saw 3 charcters, and received 1 drink. I was VERY disapointed and actually complained to the Manager. I'd have to say, their CS has done way downhill. I was basically told, Oh Well.

I'll post some pictures later on. Doxxie, hope you are having a great trip.

I will update it!!
That is awesome, gotta love an extra day in Disney!

wow!!! VIP Family-that sounds so coollll!! how special that must have made everything seem.
sorry Chef Mickey's was a bit of a letdown, we tend to not do many sit down restaurant on site anymore because we had some bad moments and it is so expensive.

I did the same thing, I know we are going in February, but I started pricing a quick getaway for December. The anticipation is killing me.:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

As promised here are a few pics.

My husband, I and the kids. The stroller was the best $15 we ever spent!

My son after going down the hill on Splash Mountain. This has a lot of meaing to me because he refused to go on. My husband had to carry him on and place him in the seat. After we went down the hill, he looked at John and said "That was Awesome" and gave it 2 thumbs up!

I need help!!

Mayjay and YoMickey---I need one of you to accept shipment of the new stroller and box up and return ship the one currently there.

I spoke to Doxxie and the sewn up tear in the stroller is holding up, however the front wheel is sticking and having some difficulty turning. I spoke with the company i bought it fom and they are trying to ship one out to us and need the other one shipped back.

I have asked them to ship the new one out first and then we can use the box to return this one--they are willing to do that which is a huge deal, but
I would like to have it shipped to one of you directly at your resort, which means you need to put it together--very easy, basically installing the wheels-from what i recall it is just a screwdriver you need to do it.
But, then you need to take the wheels off the current one and put it in the box and have it shipped back to the manufaacturer. There will be a shipping label provided from what I have been told.

Are either of you willing to do this? Please let me know immediately and PM me with the address of the resort and the full name the reservation is under, then I will forward that and give you info as I get it in.

We don't have to replace the stroller, but if it having some issues and they are willing to replace it, I think we should.

This is great Rainy~Daze. We were having issues with the front tire as well. My sister who works with strollers thought the tire was actually warped as well as loose.

Hopefully something can be worked out.
