packing is going well..just a few things we can't pack till the night before. but I feel mostly prepared. everyone is looking forward to this trip so much!!

Well, our discount this morning wasn't as much as I had hoped. Apparently, there wasn't much (if any) of a room discount with the free dining at the deluxes. But our price did drop about $50 - any discount is good! That's a couple of extra souvenirs, right!?!

How is everyone? I'm SO glad it's Friday. I'm looking forward to the weekend. The weather here is so incredibly nice today - it really stinks that I'm stuck here in the office. I just hope it is nice like this tomorrow - we have tickets to the circus in the morning and I'm thinking that we might make a trip down to Stone Mountain after that. Any one else have fun weekend plans?

We've got nothing going around here (as usual...sigh) but I'm driving DH to work today so I can take the kids to the Y later on. Although of course my 3yr old is throwing up this morning for no apparent reason so the Y trip might not happen.

I had no idea today was Friday though! LOL Dh works such an odd schedule and I'm home so I tend to not know what day it is.

Stone Mountain, do you go hiking there? We love to hike and are looking for a great place to visit to do hiking where it is beautiful.

Stone Mountain is a nice place to see and they do have some trails and you can hike up the mountain and around it on pavement. But there are also tons of attractions to see. And it was bought years ago by the people who run Dollywood and, of course, it is pricey. They have some really fun stuff and are adding new things but you would probably end up doing that and not so much hiking (since the kids would want to do stuff). However, they do have some neat areas to walk and have a picnic, etc.

You can hike in The Smokey Mountains and it's really pretty up there as well.

Julie - have you been to Sky Hike at Stone Mountain yet? We live like 7 minutes from Stone Mountain and haven't made it to that yet (with a baby and the prices it is understandable I guess). The Chili Cook-Off is next weekend and the laser show starts early every Sat in Sept and even earlier on Sat in October. So I think we're going to do that next weekend. Maybe even camp there - who knows!

Exactly ... I wouldn't go to Stone Mountain for the hiking. But it does have a lot of fun things for the kids to do now. We try to go at least once a year. But like she said, it is pricey. You can see all about it here - www.stonemountainpark.com.

However I'm still not sure how the stroller swap works . . . where do I pick it up and drop off? And it is $15 for the entire stay, not per day?

But is this stroller only for little people? My 5 year old weighs 47 pounds and my 21 month old is probably around 25 lbs.

Hi!! Happy to hear you are interested! Rainy~Daze is the main contact for the swap, but I know she's probably busy packing - so I'll answer some of your questions here.

The stroller we are using is picture on the first page of this thread. The max total weight is 100 lbs - or 50 lbs per child. There are also some pictures on page 15 of our first swapper's children sitting in the stroller so that you get an idea of how they will fit.

And yes, it is $15 for the length of your stay. A fantastic deal!

As for how the swap works, you will need to work out with the person before and after you how to swap.
