Wow! What a day! I was thinking you were pretty brave to just jump in a van with some guy for a "tour" and then I remembered you had a Marine with you - probably a quick judge of character!
you know what , now looking back we didnt even thing anything of it.. so I guess we all did think he was ok. And we did have a marine and a cop with us LOL

Too bad you had to see the turtles through the fence!
LOL ya the boys werent really that mad about it.. since they didnt want to see them in the 1st place it was kind of like a bonus LOL sort of

Brilliant installment - we never got to GC because of the choppy seas so it was great to see what was on offer - and at least you managed to keep a sense of humour on your tour, even when you had to look through the fence at the turtles! I can't believe you took a photo of your laundry going round in the wash machine!

I cant remember where did you all end up, just another sea day.. or do I have to stay tuned to your trip report to find out LOL I had to keep the humor, everything went not as planned for that port so all I could do is laugh to keep from crying.. in the end we all had fun (guess my OCVP just got the best of me and i wanted it just so)

Oh and the laundry, figured others would like to know what the room and machines looked like (you know for those other OCVP'ers LOL)

Holy crapoli, how in the world did I miss your last installment?

Ok, a few comments:

1. Tell E he does laundry the RIGHT way. Get it all in, get it all out. Done! Thats how I do it too.

2. Pirate ship: open for the Carnival peeps. 'Taint right. There's a reason my next installment is titled "Carnival World" (besides the fact that it is a Buffett song!) That's all I'll say 'bout that.

3. Love your bootleg tour! Hilarious! (Sorry! It is! ) The turtle farm takes the cake. Seriously though it doesn't seem all that bad. You got to see the sights. It was a chain link fence after all (I would have been mad if it were wood or vinyl!)

4. BBD. Oh yes. That is funny. He makes an appearance over in my TR too!

5. Mville? What time were you there? Apparently you left before Val and I got there...or did we pass eachother?

I didn't get to meet BBD- have to put him on my To Do list for the next visit.

And I know that gas station! We used the potty there before our boat ride! Awww....what a small world.

Can't wait for more, but I don't know if you can top the turtle farm no matter HOW much you drink! Too funny!

** I know I know I know.. Here I say Im going to post the next installment and not 1 but 2weeks later later I finally get it up.. sorry I had to do some editing, hopefully it is worth the wait!***

So when I left off .. last yr LOL. We just just parted ways with Tonya and family. Since we were no longer with our photographer (T, my battery was dead remember) we run into a photo shop and grab a disposable camera ($15 later). We catch a cab back to 7mile beach. Get dropped at a place called Royal Palms (ha funny back home there is a place called this and in high school we used to go there to.. oh never mind not the place for that conversation LOL)

There we had a nice time. The water was so awesome and calm. The boys loved it also.

We played in the water, E snorkeled.

I really think he thought he was Arial.

A couple hours later its time to retreat back to our lovely home.

apparently I thought I was modeling notice P not in the pic.. can we say cranky

we will be back... someday

We grab a cab back and take the tender back to the Magic.

Can I tell you the water was just so blue…

Once back onboard, E and J relaxed back in the room and watched some tv. P and I went to watch us pull out of Grand K.

Perfect ending to a semi perfect day LOL

As we walk back from the top deck we notice Mickey is empty...
apparently another UFO was spotted

We then head back in our room we shower and get ready for Pirate night. (I will tell you no one was burned, and no trashcans were harmed in tonights process of getting ready, E was proud of me)

Once we are all dressed in the homemade t-shirts I made for us, we head down to take pics with as many characters as possible.

E is somewhat ok with it, J is excited (that’s my boy) and P…ugg it was like pulling teeth with that kid.

After pics, we go to Rocken D for some Disney dancing and see Hadley and crew from our meets tread there.

Family that dances together stays together

It was practically empty besides our 2familys and 1 other family in the club. It was actually nice though. DJ Dan did a good job of keeping us moving and playing all the good jams.

Eventually its time to head to dinner, which was Parrot Cay. T and I came loaded with glow sticks, and other glowable items. You name it I found it to glow (minds out the gutter people its a family cruise!) Necklaces, bracelets, swords, stir sticks for drinks, mouse ears, barrettes, etc. We have so much we hand out extras to the tables around us, our table was visible from all around.

Had a great dinner.. what exactly it was I dont remember... must take my handy dandy notepad next time

I know for sure the boys had the ol stand by.. hamburgers or pizza or something to that nature cuz they got this on their plates

they make us do this at home now, McDonalds doesnt seem to like that go figure?

Before the the show started, our head waiter Zan came by and the boys wanted a pic with him, we loved him.

After dinner we run up to deck 10 and find a spot for the pirate show. Once up on deck I hand out the glow sticks I still have in my 100 pack and passed them out to the kids around us (I think parents were a bit leery of me… I got looks from some like I was a walking pedophile).

P and Jaren ditched us to sit with their new friends from the club. While J and Braden grab chairs to stand on to view the show.

Funny how Mike, and E are all decked out in glow sticks, and pirate attire yet didn’t want to wear our group logo tshirts for fear of looking like dorks.. what were they thinking they looked like now... CK models?

Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb

We see the fireworks and then the older kids decide they want to go back to the club. E and J head back to the room.

Tonya and I head to the pirate buffet and get a nice plate of buffet food and then head back to our rooms.

Just a light snack

I eat the buffet food, as no one else wants any they order room service instead. I have to say I didnt really care for any of the cakes. The only thing I liked were the crepes with chocolate sauce, will have to remember to grab more NEXT TIME!

I asked for the smallest one they had LOL

P mosses in around midnight with some pizza from Pinocchio’s. We watch a bit of tv and 1 by 1 we all pass out.

Tonights towel animal brought to you buy the letter M for Monkey.. the one on the right... hanging from a hanger not the other one!

Next up: All you can EAT and DRINK this is my type of excursion!

We ended up with a sea day on our CG day and Key West on our sea day, so it was all a bit mixed up but given the short notice DCL did really well! And now we have an excuse to do another Western one day to visit Grand Cayman!

about the "all access" tour that the hustler sold to you! Something similar happened to some members of the group I was traveling with back in 2006. There were 3 families (including mine) and 3 couples all traveling together. When we got off the ship in Nassau, there were tons of tour operators around selling tours. My parents went off by themselves, and my brother and I stuck together, but the rest of the group went with this one guy. To make a long story short, my bro and I met up with the group when we were all at Atlanits. I guess their tour leader promised "all access" to the aquariums at Atlanits, which consisted of him getting room cards from "friends" who worked at the resort. Needless to say, they did not get to enjoy access to Atlanits and they bargained the leader down from his asking price!

I was so frustrated converting the videos to a mpeg since it was from our video camera.. and not my reg camera. Getting better.. I have some great ones from Cozumel

My DH is FINALLY beginning to show a tad bit of excitement about our quickly approaching cruise. I don't know...maybe it goes against his man-code to show excitement about a Disney trip... So anyway, he's been asking me more and more about what it is I do day after day on these boards. So tonight we fixed each other a drink, plopped down in front of the fireplace, and I began reading your most recent trip report to him aloud. You see, the reason I picked your report (as well as Erica's!) is that you bear an uncanny ability to knock a few back just like me! I knew he'd appreciate your alcohol-infused humor.

This is going somewhere, I promise!

So as we were talking about our upcoming cruise he asks if you and your DH will be onboard as well. Sadly, I tell him the news...and you should have seen the look on his face! He was so disappointed!
