I was very good again today! I'll post the recipe I used for tonight since it was easy & very good. Not WW, but overall pretty healthy.

Breakfast
coffee with cream - 1 pt

Lunch
Smart Ones - 4 pts
Sugar free jello cup - 0 pts

Snack
90 calorie Quaker Oatmeal Balls - 2 pts

Dinner
Teryaki Steak with peppers & onions (recipe to follow) 7 pts (estimated)
1/2 cup corn - 1 pt
100 calorie snack bag - 2 pts

Here's the recipe I used tonight. It was with the slow cooker which works great for me since I never want to cook when I get home!!! The whole family liked this one a lot. I enstimated about 7 points based on individual ingredients. Enjoy!

Teriyaki Steak with Peppers & Onions
Prep time: ~10 minutes (plus 24 hours marinating time)
Cook Time: 8 hours in slow cooker

Ingredients:
2 lbs top round or London Broil Steak
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon bottled teriyaki marinade
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

Preparation
1. In a large Ziploc bag, combine 1/2 cup marinade and steak. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
2. After marinating, transfer steak (using tongs) from the bag to the slow cooker. Discard remaining marinade. Add onions and peppers to the crock.
3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. When done, let everything rest in the slow cooker, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Using clean tongs, move steak to a cutting board abd slice it thin.
4. Spoon out 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid and discard it. Add the 1 tablespoon more of fresh marinade from the bottle to the juices in the slow cooker crock and stir. Place sliced steak back into the crock and toss with the onion and pepper mixture.

Dizzi- I am actually allowed 20 -27 points, but I like to pretend my weight is in the lower bracket like it use to be:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I know, I know, I should have at least the minimum in my points category to lose weight. I am going to see how things go this week and then increase my points if needed

Today I didnt really eat correctly- I need more for lunch but I wasnt hungry at the time and just thought I would eat my lunch spread out as snacks. I ended up going to a doctor appointment that lasted forever and had to skip the rest of my lunch. Boy was I hungry.

Today:
Breakfast
Yogurt- 2pts
1/2 banana- 1pt

Lunch
Grilled cheese sandwich- 4 pts

Snack
Microwave snack size popcorn- 2pts

Dinner
Spaghetti- 2 cups- 6 pts
Sauce- 1/2 cup- 1 pt

Still need to eat my 2 pt snack

Total- 18 pts.

You guys are all doing great sticking with WW. I wish I could. But it doesn't work for me . I have developed a wheat intolerence and let me just say it is making losing weight really hard. But I am happy to say that the last 3 days I have eaten gluten free which is huge for me.

Well, here I am. I found it! That's a good start right? lol!

My name is Suzie, I live in Northern Virginia and I've got to lose baby weight and "sit around on my butt being lazy at my job" weight from way back. Some of the weight is stress weight, too. I tend to eat when I stress and I'm a late night snacker, too. I've been married over 17 years now, have two beautiful little girls, Tori (5 1/2) and Ameera (almost 16 months). DH and I have our own business now (still sitting at the computer but at least I can do it when I want to!!), so I work at home now. The Halloween cruise will be our third Disney cruise and we love them!

I had lost 33 pounds from March to October but have put back on about 13 of those. Was in LA Weight Loss that was changed to Pure that went out of business Jan 4 of this year. Bummed. They were my accountability.

I'd like to lose about 60 pounds total (40 more to go still)...for a start if I get to that weight I will re-evaluate at that point. My weight this morning was 193.8 lbs

Not sure of the process established here (weigh-in, etc) but I just knew that I could find support and help here with you all! Feel like I know some already from the cruise chat. So, if someone can fill me in on what to do, let the games begin!

(I'll try at some point to go back and read the 11 pages before  ...when I am able to find the time!)

Did two miles on the treadmill this morning. Haven't had time or been able to do the treadmill in a few months...and you know what?! It felt really good! I'm still walking a bit slower than what I'd like but you have to start out slow at first! I'll get back to my old time and distance before I know it!

I did WW years ago after my first daughter was born. I liked it well enough for the freedom of foods but found that I didn't lose much. I think I learned how to cheat or something. But I learned I need a stricter regime and to eat healthier (more fruits and veggies, etc) so that's why I went to LAWL. I still try to incorporate meal plans into my daily diet but find myself fudging on portion size....back to scales and weighing foods is where I need to be.

It's basically like the old WW mom did years and years ago....but it works for me! Anyone else out there doing this or something like it? Would love to exchange ideas!

Okay, gotta get off my rear and into the showers! 10:33 already! Where does the time go?!

Welcome over here Suzie

Done good today so far

OH MY GOD!!! I AM SO EXCITED! I really just started on Monday and when I weighed myself this morning, I was already down 2 lbs! :cool1: So hopefully Sunday (which will be my weigh in day), I will have lost 3 lbs! I know the first week is usually the most weight loss, but I was so excited to see the results so soon! Good luck to everyone else!!! :goodvibes
