I missed the original post(s) about the new website, so I may not have all the info I need...maybe someone can bing me up to speed?

I tried to go to the doubledip.com website and a little login box popped up. I tried putting in a username and password but I had read where you have to register for the site. Since I can't get in at all where do you do that?

Try the link in my signature, Jen. It seems to be working! You just need to add "DIS" in the front of the URL.

Right below the "Login" button is a link to create a "New User." You fill out the info on the next page and then wait for your email for your account to be activated.

I made note that crissichef and rkandmjsmommy had previously mentioned they might be interested in leading this initiative. Of course I'm not volunteering them!!! Just putting it out there since they mentioned having an interest in it before.

On our last cruise someone set up an invite only google group for the kids from the meet thread. It worked GREAT. I have no idea how to set one up, but I sure hope someone else does one soon (hint hint). It was a great way for hthe kids to connect and I know both of mine (well, and us adults) had already linked up with friends while we were all still in the terminal waiting to board since we all already knew who our to look for

Ok, Kid's Area on DISDoubleDip... In order to gain access to it, you must contact me with the parents' username and the kiddo's username. Both parents AND kids will have access, and that forum will be watched -closely- for inappropriate content. Either the parents or DH and I will handle inappropriate content. That of course will depend on what the situation is. I'm going this route due to things I've seen here on DISBoards.

I'm also thinking of an opt-in list for Fish Extenders. Whatcha guys think? Any other groups/forums we need?

Charlie, your DD14 will be joined with five other young ladies her age. Donald & Daisy Duck have friends with 14 yr old twins coming as well, however, I don't know the gender of them.
Finally, you have a neighbor coming on the cruise as well. Cathicool is also from Long Island!

I'm from Farmingdale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you leaving the nite before? My job does not permitt me to leave on Friday...so we will catch the 2st flight from JFK on Saturday morning

PM or email me the usernames you create for them on the other website and I will give them and you access to the "Kids Area" Forum.

Do you want age segregation, or is that more trouble than it is worth for you?

I'm leaving Fish Extenders open to everyone for right now because we're so far out; closer in, it will become a secured area. While you guys are just talking about ideas, I don't yet see a reason to lock it down. Lemme know if you disagree, of course!

Fish Extenders are explained/linked off of post #577 (one handed typing due to napping kid makes me point to other people, sorry!)
