Disney Gift Card Issues

So we always pay with Disney gift card when we check out of the hotels. During our stay at vdh a couple of weeks ago, we had an issue with room service and they told us they would refund our gift card and it could take 7 to 10 days. Every time I get a gift card refund, it usually comes back right away but okay.

I went to the front desk to make sure they issued the refund and the girl said she would call them to make sure. Well fast forward and no refund.

I call the hotel and they keep saying my folio just had the tot and I explain I pay everything with gift cards as I go.

I get transferred to billing who says they dont handle gift cards that I need to send an email.

I email two different places and silence. I am super irritated with vdh right now and getting the run around. I just want my money back. Has anyone dealt with this and who or what number should I actually be speaking too?
 
Hotel manager. Your folio should show all transactions both negative and positive. Do you have a paper copy they have you?. My refunds have always shown up right away.

Also look at your history in your gift card online.

So I pay directly with the gift card I dont put it on the room and wait so its not on the folio at all ugh. I just called them again and this time they transferred me to in room dining which is new. She said she would look into it and call me back. I know for sure they didnt refund me I have the history of the gift card. The saga continues. If she doesnt call me back, its time to speak to the manager 😆 We didnt even eat the food so im mad
 
I guess from now on the smart thing to do would be to have everything charged to the room and then gift card in case something like this arises. This is new for me.
 

Got it wow they did that so fast simply by transferring me to in room dining. I didnt need to write all these emails and call billing.

So this thread doesnt go to waste if this happens to anyone ask to speak to to the specific department where the issue was.

Oh then the hotel has nothing to do with it.

Just saw it’s fixed. Yay!
