Go with the dolphin swim it's breathtaking!!! I did it in 2006 and it's something I'll never forget. It is a little pricey but worth it.

I don't know about this particular dolphin swim, but at our 2001 Bahamas weddng, my dad paid for our entire wedding party to swim with the dolphins (lifejackets on in really deep water..truly SWIM with the dolphins).

My DH didn't think it was worth the $$ before we did it, but after we did the swim, he was beside himself with how cool the experience was~!

Just my experience & two cents!!

Heya... anyone know where we can find a mandarin collar tux in black to buy in Denver? We have at least 3 occasions this year for DH to wear a tux, and at one of them, it would be most appropriate for an "Asian" style formalwear. The Dragon Boat festival dinner is something we've done for the past few years, and we hope to do for many more.

Thanks in advance!

Ya'll are CRAZeeeeee! *shaking my head and backing away very slowly...

I've changed my login... I am NOT reverting to goth girl... unless there's some Cure or Depeche Mode involved, and they -are NOT- one hit wonders. Line in the sand, Hadley and Kimberly... LINE in the SAND!

:lmao:

I'm going to be there to take pictures! :thumbsup2 :hippie:

Don't think of it as goth...it's New Wave style. You won't be the only DM fan. Now I have to decide what shirt to wear. The 89 - 98 tour shirt, the Exciter shirt, or my original Violator concert shirt that's holding on together for dear life.

Ohhhhh...Depeche Mode....so dark:rotfl: ....Erasure anyone? How bout New Kids on the Block? Maybe some Starship? I had very ecclectic taste. Guess I was trying to fit in with all the groups at school....

I am HUGE 80's Chick, leg warms, BIG hair, blue eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadown, Acqua Net Hairspy

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK I cried my eyes out thru the whole concert and I just got the best news from People.com

THEY ARE REUNITING, It made my whole weekend

I LOVE LOVE LOVE NKOTB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am SO IN for an 80's party!!!

I remember the biggest "I told you so" from my Mom was because I wore my Jellies without socks ("Wear Jellies with socks? Gee Mom, you're SO uncool") and got the worst blisters EVER. Who ever thought shoes made from hard plastic were a good idea?

Ouch!!! I remember how much that hurt!!! What a trip down memory lane. I didn't remember all of the things on the list, but the ones I did remember were great fun!!! I was a total side ponytail girl.

You know you grew up in the '80s if....

You solved the Rubics cube.....by peeling off the stickers

And I thought I was the only one who did that!!!!

My DD's boyfriend just gave her a rubics cube for her birthday and she actually solved it legitimately. She was appalled by the fact that I solved it by peeling off the stickers.

Thanks for the endorsement!!! We did the dolphin encounter in Nassau and thought it was alot of fun, but I think we will really enjoy the swim. My mom was really excited to do the swim too.

You got to GO to a concert? Wow...:worship:
I only was allowed to wallpaper my bedroom wall with Joey's pictures from Bop Magazine...:scared1: The other walls were saved for Will Wheaton, Kirk Cameron, & Corey Haim.

I have a feeling you and I are going to get along REALLY WELL:rotfl: , Loved Bop, Teen Beat, Tiger Beat (I think was the name), still love to catch episodes of Growing Pains!

The concert was AMAZING, my mom drove me, my sister and 2 of my friends, it was so awesome! The worst part was there were 2 girls behind us sleeping:scared1: I was HIGHLY INSULTED

BUT...I did look SO rad with my Jellies AND the matching Jellies bag. Not to mention the charm belt. Oh yea baby.

Yeah!! Okay, I feel like a kid again, but I loved them! I just figured out how to add more then one quote, so sorry that I have a lot of posts.

Ahhh, sounds like my mom. I look back and I think that is the coolest thing my mom did. I was 13 and she took me and a friend and sat through the concert.. The only embarassing part was when she told the girls in front of us to sit down.. (come on mom, it's a concert.. lol)

When I was in college, my roommates and I went to see NKOTB at the Ohio State Fair! :rotfl2: Obviously they were past their peak!

Ohhhhh...I was an 80s cool person too! Side ponytail, multiple pairs of socks at one time with my white Keds, banana clips, hair crimpers, Guess jeans (not that I had those...I had some generic version with an upside down triangle...Mom wouldn't spend the $$ on Guess jeans), Tiffany casette tape. My poor children would die laughing if they saw my wardrobe/hairstyles from back then..

Were they Palmetto jeans? I had a pair of those, I ripped off the triangle. As if no one would know.....hehe
I was also a crimper. Ye-gads. Did you notice the turned-up collar is back?

:thumbsup2 You got it!

Michael (emsip), tell your DW that the cruise is back on!

'80s Party Night

Well Disney can take away the 80's Party night, but they can't take the '80s groove out of the Double Dippers!

Get stoked! All you mall chicks, pull out your leg warmers, stirrup pants, shoulder pads, and big sweater. Then, dress yourself up with jelly bracelets, banana clips, and 4" hoop earrings. For all the studs out there, find that back pocket comb, Ocean Pacific T-shirt, shades, and parachute pants. It's time to get ready to break dance!

On "One Hit Wonder" nights, we Double Dip Delighters will be turning the Rockin' Bar D into an '80s club. Now don't have a cow if you forget to pack your Members Only jacket, Izod, or Jordache threads. Just join us at the Rockin' Bar D and party hardy! It's going to be a totally tubular event!
Read what everyone is saying about it in the "Get-togethers on the Boat" Forum.

(PS: I added a new thread on the website under the "Get-Togethers on the Boat" Forum so you can get chattin' away with your ideas!)

I am SO there.

LOL.. This brings back memories with all the 80's. I thought I would send this. I'm sure you have seen it. I laugh everytime. I forgot about a lot of the stuff until I saw this list. Jelly shoes.. LMAO! Oh and did anybody ever watch Small Wonder? I loved that show when I was a kid.. Ha

I think I can say yes to everything on that list! LOL

Oh, and when Universal first opened up down here, I went to the Nickelodian Studios tour with some friends. They pulled us into a studio audience for a taping, and do you know who they were interviewing? One of the New Kids! I forgot his name.....I was a little too old at the time to be into them, but I remember thinking to myself girls would claw each other's eyes out to be sitting where I am right now.....four feet from a New Kid.

Oh the 80's:

I had a full outfit, including FANNY PACK, in Neon Green!! Don't forget about L.A. Gear shoes :woohoo:

Looks like 2008 isnt begining like a good yr for us either. Sadly I got news tonight that E's (DH) dad passed away. He had been sick on and off and was in a nursing home due to the fact that E"s mom is so tiny and he's a big guy and couldnt take care of him. Well tonight he passed away. Sadly I had to notify E by a Red Cross message. He couldnt even hear it straight from me. I had to do that to get the ball rolling for him to come home (for those that dont know he's in Iraq). He's on his way home now so in 2days should be back in the states. No clue where but back state side. Then its off to Texas we go for the funeral.

I was hoping he would have been able to see him one more time after he got back from this tour. BUt I guess things happen for a reason, plus im sure he wouldnt have wanted his dad to keep suffering or be in more pain, or have his mom have to watch that. Now all I can think of is the 3's you always hear of death and babies in 3's. I know I shouldnt think like that but its hard to get it out of your mind. First my dad, then his.... makes you realize how presious life really is.

Thanks for letting me get my thoughts out all. Keep E in your thoughts and Ill be MIA for a while.

I'm almost caught up. I'm on page 244. I had to reply to the following post because I love New Orleans.

Brandie,
We're also going to New Orleans for our friends' wedding. We're going February 21-25. I'm also definitely looking forward to some beignets and good food. Neither of us have ever been. Any suggestions?
